Aaron Rodgers 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Sleeper Quarterback Option At Small Price With New Team
1 year agoThe move from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets can be a fantasy lifesaver for quarterback Aaron Rodgers after an abysmal 2022 season. Rodgers finished the year with 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and a QB13 fantasy finish. The QB13 finish was the worst fantasy season for the veteran quarterback (not counting his injured seasons in 2013 and 2017). He averaged 14.66 fantasy points per game with zero games above 20 fantasy points. It was a down year for Rodgers in his final season with the Packers. However, a change of scenery could help Rodgers' fantasy value in 2023. He'll have offensive rookie of the year Garrett Wilson, who put up over 1,100 yards, and the additions of familiar faces in Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to throw to in New York. At age 39, it'll be interesting to see if Rodgers still has some left in the tank, but he's worth a gamble at his NFFC ADP of 115. He has finished inside the top 10 at the quarterback position in 11 of his 14 NFL seasons, including seven top-2 quarterback finishes. Rodgers has plenty of upside as a late-round quarterback with solid playmakers around him in New York. RotoBaller has Rodgers as the 17th quarterback off the board in fantasy drafts.
