Goaltender Aaron Dell has officially joined the Carolina Hurricanes on a free-agent tryout Tuesday. The 'Canes have had difficulties between the pipes this season, as No. 1 netminder Frederik Andersen has been sidelined since Nov. 2 due to blood clots, while veteran Antti Raanta was sent to the American Hockey League after struggling to a 3.61 goals-against average and an .854 save percentage across 14 appearances (12 starts) on the season. Dell appeared in just four games with the San Jose Sharks last season and is the owner of a 2.92 GAA and .905 save percentage across 130 career regular-season games split between the Sharks, Sabres, and Devils. Pyotr Kochetkov is the undisputed No. 1 goaltender in Carolina until Andersen is ready to return, but that is far from imminent, while Kochetkov's fantasy value skyrockets as a result.--Brenton KempRead More News
