A.J. Pollock Has Fractured Thumb
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder A.J. Pollock was diagnosed with a fractured left thumb following a visit to a hand specialist on Tuesday. Pollock suffered the injury making a diving play on a ball on Monday night. The injury bug catches Pollock again, as he will miss significant time for the third consecutive season. Pollock was well on his way to a career season, as he leads the team in most offensive categories. The initial timetable has him sidelined for four to eight weeks. Chris Owings will pick up more at-bats while Pollock is out.
