Tampa Bay Buccaneers - NFL Betting Analysis

Heading into week 6, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to bounce back from a loss to the Steelers by a score of 20-18, giving them a loss over a non-conference win. Tampa Bay lost the game, even though they entered the game as -9.5 point favorites. The two teams combined point total of 38 remained below the betting line of 46. In the game, Tampa Bay trailed the Steelers by a score of 13-12 heading into the 4th quarter. Through 6 games, the Buccaneers have an ATS record of 2-4. So far, they have an over-under record of 1-5. This week's betting total of 40.5 is lower than the line in their previous games.

As the Buccaneers prepare to take on Carolina, they are ranked 20th in points per game at 20.17. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Panthers defense ranked 25th in points per game. Throughout the game, Tampa Bay should be able to move the ball through the air, as they are the 6th-ranked team in terms of passing yards. In addition, they are facing off against a defense that has been vulnerable in the secondary. On the ground, our projections show that the Buccaneers' offense will have its problems. Even though they have a decent matchup against a Carolina, look Tampa Bay to come up with fewer rush yards than their season average of 67.5.

Carolina Panthers - NFL Betting Analysis

In week 6, the Carolina Panthers dropped their NFC matchup against the Rams by a score of 24-10. Not only did Carolina lose the game, they also failed to cover the spread. Going into the game, the team was 10.0 point underdogs. The two teams combined point total of 34 remained below the betting line of 41. The Panthers were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Los Angeles by a score of 17-10 heading into the final quarter. Through 6 games, the Panthers have an ATS record of 1-5. So far, they have an over-under record of 2-4. This week's betting total of 40.5 is right in line with their previous games.

As the Panthers prepare to take on Tampa Bay, they are ranked 27th in points per game at 17.17. This week, the team is matched up against the league's 6th-ranked defense, look for Carolina to have a below average performance compared to their usual offensive output. This week, look for the Panthers to struggle in the passing game, as not only have they struggled to move the ball through the air, but they are facing a secondary ranked 10th in passer rating allowed. On the ground, our projections show that the Panthers offense will have its problems. Even though they have a decent matchup against a Tampa Bay, look for Carolina to come up with fewer rush yards than their season average of 90.33.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Buccaneers vs. Panthers

Over the last 5 matchups between Tampa Bay and Carolina, the Panthers have won 4 of the last 5 games. The over-under record in these games sits at 4-1, with the average scoring total coming in at 55.2 points. Last year, the Buccaneers dominated the season series, winning by scores of 41-17 and 32-6.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gone 3-1 vs the spread in these games. On average, the Buccaneers have averaged 35.2 points per game in the past 5 head-to-head matchups, compared to Carolina at 20.0.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Buccaneers have gone 1-2 straight up. Like their straight up record, Tampa Bay struggled vs the spread, going 0-3. Over these games, they put together an over-under record of 1-2.

When looking at their past 3 road matchups, Tampa Bay has an ATS record of 2-1 while averaging 19.0 per game. The team went 2-1 overall in these games.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Panthers have gone 0-3 straight up. In addition, the team has not done well vs the spread, going 0-3. Their over-under record in these games was 1-2.

Across the Panthers last 3 home games, the team averaged 17.67 points per game while allowing 25.67. Their record vs the spread in these contests was 1-2, while going 1-2 straight-up.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Buccaneers -11.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 40.5
