NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Falcons vs Panthers TNF Showdown

Marcus Mariota - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

John's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Falcons vs Panthers showdown slate on 11/10. His Thursday Night Football daily fantasy football advice.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We're back at it again with some Week 10 Thursday Night Football DFS lineups. We had a closer game than expected last Thursday night, as the Eagles eventually pulled away. This week, however, the game doesn't seem to be pulling much excitement, at least on my end. The Atlanta Falcons (4-5) head north to take on the Carolina Panthers (2-7). This should be a low-scoring and interesting slate, so let's see how it shakes out.

We've been pretty successful so far with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues throughout this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around once again. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Falcons vs. Panthers NFL DFS showdown slate on November 10th. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain Plays

Marcus Mariota - QB, $15,300 (DK), $17,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 1,561 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, six interceptions, 304 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns.
  • 2022 Offensive Pass DVOA: 15.1% (12th), per Football Outsiders.
  • 2022 Opposing Defense Pass DVOA: 18.8% (28th), per Football Outsiders.

I'll start tonight's slate with Marcus Mariota. While I can't say this game will be a crazy high-scoring game with a lot of fantasy points spread around, I think Mariota has a solid floor thanks to his rushing ability. The Falcons have a projected passing DVOA of 24.21%, and I have Mariota completing roughly 67% of his passes for north of 231 passing yards and 1.41 touchdowns while adding north of 30 rushing yards.

D'Onta Foreman - RB, $11,700 (DK), $11,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 60 attempts, 296 rushing yards, six targets, four receptions, 25 receiving yards, three touchdowns.
  • 2022 Offensive Rush DVOA: -0.5% (16th), per Football Outsiders.
  • 2022 Opposing Defense Rush DVOA: 0.5% (23rd), per Football Outsiders

On the other side of the field, I'll take a look at D'Onta Foreman. Foreman came back down to earth on Sunday in the shellacking that Carolina took from Cincinnati, but I think he bounces back this week. The Panthers have a projected rushing DVOA of 2.04%, which isn't great but not too bad either. My model doesn't have him doing much this week, carrying the ball just 11.73 times for 46.56 rushing yards, but I'm more bullish here than my model projects.

Other Captains/MVPs: Drake London, D.J. Moore, Kyle Pitts

DFS Flex Plays

P.J. Walker - QB, $9,000 (DK), $14,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 623 passing yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions.
  • 2022 Offensive Pass DVOA: -27% (32nd), per Football Outsiders.
  • 2022 Opposing Defense Pass DVOA: 19.1% (29th), per Football Outsiders

I'll look to the reverse of the old adage here. When talking about the Panthers' passing offense against the Falcons' passing defense, I'll consider it the "stoppable force" against the "moveable object". It's not certain that Walker will suit up for Carolina tonight, and I won't be replacing him with Baker Mayfield should Baker end up starting, but if it's Walker,I have no issues with starting him in the flex spot simply due to the minimal options we have here.

Cordarrelle Patterson - RB, $11,800 (DK), $15,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 71 attempts, 384 rushing yards, eight targets, five receptions, 37 receiving yards, five touchdowns.
  • 2022 Offensive Rush DVOA: 8.7% (4th), per Football Outsiders.
  • 2022 Opposing Rush DVOA: -0.4% (23rd), per Football Outsiders.

Cordarrelle Patterson had himself an afternoon on Sunday after returning from injury. I'm not a huge fan of him being the most expensive player on the slate, particularly on DraftKings, but I'll take the chance once again due to the lack of options we have here. The Falcons have a projected rush DVOA of 12.14%, and it'll come down to how many touches he'll get, but I think Patterson finds the end zone at least once tonight and for that reason: I'm in.

Other Flex Options: Kyle Pitts, D.J. Moore, Terrace Marshall Jr.

DFS Value Plays

Atlanta Falcons - D/ST, $4,000 (DK), $9,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 25 points per game allowed, 12 sacks, eight interceptions, five fumble recoveries, three defensive touchdowns.
  • Projected Weighted DVOA: -5.85%

I like this play with P.J. Walker starting, and I like it even more should Baker Mayfield be under center for Carolina. The Falcons' defense isn't a great one or even a good one in the grand scheme of things. However, the Panthers don't have much going for them on offense and Atlanta's defense does have some big-play ability as shown by their three defensive touchdowns.

Younghoe Koo - K, $1,800 (DK), $7,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2022 Stats: 15/19 field goals made/attempted, 22/22 extra points made/attempted.

This is the kind of slate where I believe at least one kicker will end up in the optimal lineup, if not both kickers. I'll look at Koo here, as despite his somewhat struggles kicking the ball in terms of field goals this season, I do think he'll have the chance to knock a few down should the Falcons' offense stall out a few times. Carolina does allow eight fantasy points per game to kickers, ranking 27th in the league.

Other Value Plays: Eddy Pineiro, Shi Smith, Ian Thomas

Enjoy your night and good luck everyone!
