NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/30/16

Not to be a downer, but there's little matchup appeal in this slate compared to most NBA Wednesdays. That said, since there aren't really any games that jump off the table as ones to load up on players from, perhaps tonight is a night where you can pay less effort in trying to guess what ownership percentages might be, and give more attention to just building a quality roster of nine guys.

While not every line has been made available yet, the ones that have posted in Vegas sure leave a lot to be desired. The handful of games that look the most enticing, relatively speaking, are Suns at Bucks (211), Clippers at Timberwolves (212), and Heat at Lakers (207).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/2/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

John Wall (at SAC, $9,700)

Mr. Wall has the highest predicted score in my player algorithm Wednesday, and it's not just because he's eclipsed 42 fantasy points in six of his last seven performances. In that same stretch, he's beaten out his price implied value by an average of 5.09 points a night. He's obviously been hot, but he also has the best matchup tonight of any point guard by a mile. The Kings give up the second most points to opposing point guards of any team in play tonight - beaten out only by the lowly Suns - and as Wall is much more capable of going off than Jerryd Bayless, I give him the edge as my top play at the point guard position tonight.

Chris Paul (at MIN, $9,400)

Paul's predicted score comes in a quite a few notches lower than Wall's, but there are a few things in his matchup I can't ignore, and as such, I'll be finding ways to create a Wall-Paul back court tonight. Paul has been Mr. Consistency of late, producing 34 fantasy points or more in each of his last six games, the lone 51 point performance being the outlier from the rest of the group. Against the Timberwolves tonight, I think he's got a chance to put up another outlier, perhaps in the form of a 50+ point game as Minnesota allows a healthy amount of points above the average to opposing point guards and at this price, he's still a bargain. He shouldn't have any problem hitting value, but I'm rostering him with the hunch he can cruise past it.

JJ Redick (at MIN, $4,500)

Full disclosure, I'm not in love with any options at shooting guard tonight. It's not that the options are all bad, it's more so that few have the combo that I'm looking for, which is matchup appeal and a bargain. Redick actually fits the bill better than any other, making him my favorite pick at the two-guard spot tonight. Redick's opponent tonight, Minnesota, gives up their fare share of points to opposing twos and at a price below 5K, I'll take my chances with Redick since I don't think hitting value - at the very least - will be too difficult.

Also Consider: Devin Booker (at MIL, $7,000)

Value Play: Danny Green (vs NO, $3,800)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Carmelo Anthony (at DAL, $8,600)

Anthony's price has plummeted $500 in the past few days, and the time and price are both right to roster him this evening. Now that he's below 9K, he's a relative bargain, and his opposition tonight, the Dallas Mavericks, don't really have an answer for Carmelo defensively. He should garner a ton of looks tonight in what should be a high scoring affair with little actual defense being played.

Markieff Morris (at SAC, $4,900)

Listen, I'm just as surprised as you are that 'Kieff is still available for an under 5K price. He seems rejuvenated since being dealt to Washington, and he's got the numbers to prove it. In his last 10 contests, Morris has exceeded value in six, by an average of 3.47 points over his price implied total. For reasons I can't explain, in that same stretch of games I just mentioned, his salary price hasn't increased at all and the matchup he draws tonight is a pretty favorable one.

PJ Tucker (at MIL, $4,700)

I'll stick the theme of lesser and under-priced forwards here and ride with Tucker tonight.  He's been playing really well of late and outside of a few anomalies, he's getting consistently high minutes and somewhere in the range of 7-9 field goal attempts per game. In his last nine games, he's exceeded value in five, which doesn't sound all that impressive until you look at just how far past price implied value he went in those games - a +7.17 point average. The Bucks do run at a slower pace than the Suns, which will lower possessions by a few notches, but at this price I'm a pretty big fan of Tucker's potential to cruise past price implied value tonight.

Also Consider: Gordon Hayward (vs GS, $6,900)

Value Play: Luis Scola (vs ATL, $3,700)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Tyson Chandler (at MIL, $4,200)

I was a little underwhelmed looking at the center options, especially since 18 squads are taking the floor tonight. Paying up for DeMarcus Cousins, who is potentially a game-time decision, isn't in the cards for me, so I'm going to go with the value play here and roster Tyson Chandler. Chandler, both in minutes and production, has been really tough to figure out. In the past 10 days, he's produced games like this - 18 minutes, nine fantasy points and 33 minutes, 38.9 fantasy points. With that in mind, I'm only rostering Chandler in tournament formats - he's much too risky for cash game consideration. Now, as for the matchup tonight, Chandler faces an interior defense that gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing centers of any team in action tonight. Chandler should be able to produce way above his implied total if he's fed the ball down low and can remain active on the boards.

Also Consider: Marcin Gortat (at SAC, $6,600)
