NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/26/16

There are a bunch of really interesting matchups tonight. The Philadelphia 76ers take on the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns are going to get stomped by the Boston Celtics.

It is easy to pick on the Suns and the Sixers, which is recommended tonight, but read on to see what other matchups you can expose on tonight's 10-game slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/26/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard (vs PHI, $8,700)

Damian Lillard actually has not been playing as well as he should be of recent, but he gets a fantastic matchup tonight, and he should be able to take advantage of it. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the worst teams in basketball both offensively and defensively, and that is exactly what Dame needs to get it going from the field. He has been shooting poorly of recent, especially against the stellar defense of Chris Paul in his last outing. Tonight, his upside is limitless. He has over 40 fantasy points in two of his last four games, so using him in 50/50 contests is not ridiculous, but he is better suited for tournaments.

Isaiah Thomas (at PHO, $8,000)

Speaking of guards that get great matchups tonight, Isaiah Thomas is playing against the Phoenix Suns. The one team in the league that may be worse than the Sixers defensively is the Suns. The Suns love to push the pace of the game, but it doesn't make much sense because they refuse to even attempt to play defense. With over 40 fantasy points in two of his last three games, it would be an understatement to say that IT2 is "feeling it." He should continue to play well tonight, and there is no reason to avoid him in 50/50 contests or tournaments. He is a consistent player with great upside.

Elfrid Payton (vs CHI, $5,400)

Elfrid Payton started in his last game, which is a great sign for the Orlando Magic guard. Against the Detroit Pistons, he posted 48 fantasy points in 34 minutes off the bench. His upside is even greater when he gets the nod as the starter. It looks like he has finally fully recovered from his previous injury, and he should play well tonight against the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are not one of the better defenses in the league this season, which is mainly due to multiple nagging injuries. Payton has great upside, and he is actually pretty consistent when starting. Use him in both formats tonight.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Gordon Hayward (at MIN, $6,800)

Gordon Hayward looked pathetic in his last game, which was against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He played 23 minutes and posted under 15 fantasy points, scoring only six points and assisting the ball five times. The game prior, he posted over 45 fantasy points in 40 minutes of action against the Houston Rockets. In that game, he scored over 20 points, grabbed six rebounds, assisted the ball five times, and ended up with a career-high four steals. His price tag is a little low right now considering his upside. The Minnesota Timberwolves are allowing opponents to score willy-nilly. Use Hayward in tournaments tonight.

Jared Sullinger (at PHO, $5,900)

Jared Sullinger has ridiculous upside. That is what he is known for. He is not going to provide any sort of consistency at all, so forget about using him in 50/50 contests. In his last game, he posted over 25 fantasy points in 27 minutes on the court. This is actually usual for Sully because he generally posts over 30 fantasy points or under 20. In fact, he has done just that in all but two of his last eight games. Tonight, he gets an easy matchup against the Phoenix Suns, so 50 plus fantasy points is not out of the question. He just did that against the Houston Rockets in 32 minutes. Use him in tournaments.

Jason Smith (vs CHI, $3,900)

Since the injury to Nikola Vucevic, Jason Smith has been playing rather well. In his last two games, he has over 20 minutes in both of them and over 20 fantasy points in one of them. He posted 21.6 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Detroit Pistons in his last game, but his upside is really what is enticing tonight. Against the Denver Nuggets, a few games back, he posted over 40 fantasy points in 28 minutes on the court. The Chicago Bulls, who Smith plays tonight, are not any better defensively against big men than the Nuggets are. If Smith explodes again, it'll send those tournaments lineups straight to the top. Avoid him in 50/50 contests.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Mason Plumlee (vs PHI, $5,300)

Mason Plumlee's price tag has definitely come up quite a bit in the last week or so. That is for good reason. He has been playing extremely well. In his last five games, he has three over 30 fantasy points, one of which was over 40 fantasy points. Against the Dallas Mavericks, he did indeed post 42.8 fantasy points in 32 minutes on the court. He is still playing around 25-30 minutes for the Portland Trail Blazers, and there is no reason to avoid him against the Sixers tonight. With Jahlil Okafor out for the season, the Sixers are even worse against big men than they have been. Use Plumlee in all formats - both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
