NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/20/16

On a day with only six games on the slate, it's definitely important to pick a superstar for your lineup. DeMarcus Cousins facing the New York Knicks is an obvious choice while another big money name won't be able to aid in keeping his team in the game against Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan.

Anthony Davis is officially out on Sunday, while the statuses of Jonas Valanciunas and Nikola Vucevic are still in question. Who will step up in their absence or benefit from them being off the court? Take a look below.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/20/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Isaiah Thomas (at PHI, $7,700)

The Boston Celtics have been slumping of late. Isaiah Thomas, among the few steady players on Boston, has continued going about his business despite his team's poor performance. The Celtics should snap out of it against the worst team in the league, led by Thomas.

Thomas has scored 20 or more points in eight straight games and should have no problem tacking on a ninth straight performance against the defensively inept 76ers. Thomas has not been sprinkling stats as well of late, and will need to against Philadelphia to exceed expectation. Thomas is at his best when he's pulling the trigger from behind the arc and assisting those around him.

Jrue Holiday (vs LAC, $7,700)

With Anthony Davis officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Holiday will step up and take even more shots than he usually does alongside the Brow. Holiday is coming off a 30-point performance against the Trailblazers, where he nailed four three-pointers on four attempts.

Earlier in March, Holiday attempted over 20 shots in back-to-back games, resulting in 34 and 38 points. Expect a similar type of showing from Holiday as the Pelicans will likely be playing catchup with the Clippers.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Victor Oladipo (at TOR, $8,500)

Oladipo has stepped up tremendously in the absence of Nikola Vucevic and Elfrid Payton. In his past three games, Oladipo has averaged 31 points, nearly five rebounds, four assists, slightly over two blocks, and two steals in about 40 minutes of court time.

In his most recent performance, Oladipo dropped 45 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers, including six from seven from behind the arc. The Magic will likely be playing from behind against the Toronto Raptors. Expect Oladipo to attempt around 20 shots again and be heavily in the mix on both sides of the ball.

J.J. Redick (at NO, $4,800)

Redick has been on a solid scoring streak of late, scoring in double-digits in 18 straight games. He has also scored 20 or more in four of six games. Redick should definitely be able to take advantage of New Orleans poor defense on Sunday. The nine year veteran is at his best when he finds openings from downtown; something else he should definitely take advantage of.

The Pelicans own the third highest opponent three-point percentage and give up the eighth most amount of threes a night in the league. Redick has averaged 3.3 three pointers on 6.8 attempts in March. He is an affordable option with a high ceiling for a shooting guard.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Rudy Gay (at NYK, $6,300)

I'm a fan of anyone versing the New York Knicks lately. The Knicks have given up a ton of points to solid offenses. The same has been the case for the Sacramento Kings, making Sunday's matchup very appealing. This game will likely be high scoring with little to no affective defensive. Enter Rudy Gay.

Gay has had a bit of an up and down season, but continues to see over 30 minutes a night and spreads stats just enough for his price. His ceiling is always relatively high as he is capable of breaking out, but Gay doesn't need to do much to be productive.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs UTA, $10,200)

When the Greek Freak is set to take the court, he automatically gets a consideration regardless of who he's playing. The Utah Jazz are really tough defensively and have often slowed down those producing heavily for Daily Fantasy, but I'm not worried about that regarding Giannis.

Giannis is a consistent triple-double threat and has been putting up double-doubles via points and rebounds and points and assists. He continues to mature, and has added an abundance of blocks and steals to his repertoire. He has tallied 10 blocks in four games and doesn't need to score more than 20 points to light up Daily Fantasy lines considering how versatile he is.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Amir Johnson (at PHI, $3,800)

A lot of big men are ailing on Boston, specifically Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerbeko, as the Celtics continue to fall in the Eastern Conference standings. Luckily for them, they visit the 76ers who can't plummet in the standings any further. Look for a bunch of guys on Boston to have productive days for Daily Fantasy, including Amir Johnson.

Johnson won't blow you away with his performances by any means but is more than capable of doing just enough to reach projection/value for his price. He's been recently playing over 2o minutes a night and flirts with double-digit rebounds and double-digit points. Last Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Johnson recorded his first double-double since the middle of January.

David Lee (vs POR, $5,000)

With Chandler Parsons set to miss Sunday's contest against the Portland Trailblazers, others will need to step up in his absence. Dirk Nowitzki is a very obvious choice here, but to save some cap space, Lee is the perfect guy for the job.

Lee is coming off a 16 points, 16 rebounds performance in 27 minutes against the Golden State Warriors, and has been stringing together consistency of late. Lee has scored in double-digits in four straight games, also seven in his last eight, and has continued to prove that he is a better fit on Dallas than he was on the Celtics. Lee is a double-double threat and should see plenty of court time in a competitive matchup against the Trailblazers.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Bismack Biyombo (vs ORL, $5,500)

Biyombo is almost a must-play for as long as normal starting center, Jonas Valanciunas, misses action. Biyombo has produced nicely in relief, posting two double-doubles in his last three, while posting double-digit rebounds in three straight, including a 25-rebound performance versus the Indiana Pacers last Thursday.

The Raptors host the Orlando Magic, who have also been without their starting center, Nikola Vucevic. Biyombo, talented defensively as well, should have no problem out-rebounding and scoring against backups Dewayne Dedmon and Jason Smith if Vucevic misses another game. Biyombo is a solid play regardless, but keep an eye on the status of Vucevic. If he sits, Biyombo's value sees an even bigger boost.
