NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/13/16

By Keith Allison from Hanover, MD, USA (LeBron James) [CC BY-SA 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/13/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

The city of Los Angeles will be busy with basketball on Sunday, an all day affair as the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks come to town. Both contests have plenty of stack appeal, as one is a game between two really good teams and the other is one involving two really bad teams. Both should remain competitive, fast paced, and high scoring throughout.

Sunday's lineup features two of the game's all-time best, one of which says good bye to the sport that has made him famous more and more as the calendar flips closer to the postseason.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/13/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Chris Paul (vs CLE, $10,100)

CP3 has been a double-double and assist machine of late, and is slowly becoming one of the steadiest Daily Fantasy option at the point. Paul has posted double-doubles in 11 of 13 games. His most recent productive performance came against the New York Knicks Friday night where he dropped 24 points, dished out 15 dimes, grabbed four boards, picked up two steals, and went 4-7 from downtown. CP3 has also tallied at least one steal in 33 straight games.

As mentioned above, the Cavaliers and Clippers matchup is very appealing. It should be competitive and close throughout.

Kyrie Irving (at LAC, $7,400)

Kyrie is another solid option at the one spot and another part of the Cleveland/Los Angeles stack. It's definitely going to be fun to hone in on the Kyrie and CP3 face-off as two of the premium point guards in the league bring the ball up the court every other possession.

Kyrie has scored 20 or more points in seven straight games and has been playing around or over 30 minutes in each. He spreads stats similarly to Paul and is a consistent option for DFS as the Cavs continue their intense play heading towards the playoffs.

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Kobe Bryant (vs NYK, $5,900)

The last time Kobe will face the Knicks will sadly not be at Madison Square Garden; a stage where the future hall-of-famer shined bright. Even so, New York has been an iconic opponent for Kobe and he will do all he can to prosper one final time against them.

Kobe is coming off a 26 points, five rebounds in 32 minutes performance against the talented Cavaliers; his best performance since February 19th. The Knicks are not a scary opponent on the defensive side of the ball so we can expect a ton of scoring in this one. Kobe is an affordable option that should be used more in tournaments.

Sasha Vujacic (at LAL, $3,700)

Vujacic has been throw into the Knicks' revolving door of offense lately and has seen a solid bulk of minutes over his last two. Last week versus the Phoenix Suns, Vujacic scored 23 points consisting of six three pointers on seven attempts in 33 minutes. He also grabbed five boards, one assist and one steal; undoubtedly his best performance of the season, resulting in a crazy productive Daily Fantasy stat line for his price.

In his most recent game on Friday against the Clippers, Vujacic gathered nine points, three assists, two rebounds, and one three pointer, certainly enough to reach his projection and value. Now as the Knicks head into a matchup with a team similar to the Suns, expect Vujacic to have an easier opportunity to score and see a bulk of minutes and shot attempts. Vujacic also visits a place he played for seven seasons.

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

LeBron James (at LAC, $9,900)

LeBron is simply an animal. Sometimes that ferocity doesn't exactly translate onto a Daily Fantasy scoresheet the way it does for someone like Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook, but LeBron is beyond hungry for another title and has scored 24 or more points in four straight contests. The King is among one of the best at spreading stats and has transformed himself into a consistent triple-double threat over the years. LeBron is one of the top options on Sunday and should be considered for tournaments and head-to-head contests.

Kent Bazemore (vs IND, $4,900)

Bazemore has been spreading stats generously of late. He is a double-digit scorer, has picked up at least one steal in five straight games and at least one block in four of five games. His rebound totals have been increasing of late as he's almost guaranteed for at least five a night. Bazemore is still very affordable and should be considered in both tournaments and head-to-head's, specifically against an opponent like the Indiana Pacers. Expect a close game when two good Eastern Conference teams square off.

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Derrick Williams (at LAL, $3,800)

Williams is cheap and has put together four straight productive Daily Fantasy performances. He has scored in double-digits in each of the four games over that span as his minutes have fluctuated from around 15 to 20 a night. Williams has been streaky all season, starting the year off with a bang yet failing to establish consistency, with flashes of brilliance and production sporadically throughout.

Williams should have no trouble continuing his streak against the Lakers. Los Angeles has surrendered 107.1 points per game, third most in the league. They have also allowed the fifth most rebounds in the NBA, 35.2 per contest.

Channing Frye (at LAC, $3,800)

Frye is another value play at the four spot and is coming off a season high 21 points against the Lakers Thursday night. He also added seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and went an impressive 5-7 from downtown. The Clippers are obviously a tougher opponent than the neighboring Lakers but after a performance like that, we can expect the Cavaliers to give Frye another bulk of minutes. Frye should be used in tournament/cash games only.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert (at SAC, $6,700)

Gobert is a double-double threat, just as long as he scores. He has failed to breach the 10-point mark in four straight games but posted rebound totals of 11, 15, 15, and 18 over that span. The rebounds are almost a lock and now facing the Sacramento Kings, Gobert should have no problem tallying a decent amount of points as well.

The Kings have relinquished 109.5 points a night, the most in the NBA. Gobert is also a multiple blocks threat and should have no problem producing against the worst defensive team in the league.
