MLB DFS Lineup Picks and Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 6/8/15

By TonyTheTiger (Own work) [CC BY-SA 4.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Jake Finnen analysis and advice for the top MLB DFS lineup picks on DraftKings for 6/8/15, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your daily fantasy baseball rosters.

When it comes to fantasy sports, anything can happen. While I do not believe in magic, I do believe in miracles. Miracles can happen at anytime and it is nearly impossible to predict. Instead of trying to predict these miracles, I will base my DraftKings DFS picks off of consistency. Finding consistency in fantasy sports is the key to winning.

I have said this before in many of my articles, I will practice what I preach as I will use many if not all of the DFS players I advise. With so many options available, I will tend to stray away from the top or highest priced DraftKings players. In creating the DFS perfect lineup, you need to make sacrifices and implement lower priced players to acquire high level pitchers.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's just $5 to enter and pays out $75,000 in cash prizes, including 10K to 1st place! Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 value). Offenses to Target for DraftKings Stacking

Atlanta Braves versus Ian Kennedy (Rain Possibility)

The Braves have not been the best hitting team in baseball but have proved that they have no problem getting on base. Kennedy fell out of a slump in his last game against the Mets but I do not see that success lasting. The Braves will get the bat on the ball and should be able to score against the right hander and his 6.60 ERA.

Los Angeles Dodgers versus Rubby De La Rosa

Rubby De La Rosa gave up seven runs against the Braves last game and is facing a scary Dodgers lineup with Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, and Joc Pederson all wielding big bats. I do not see the Diamondbacks pulling out a victory here with the help of the Dodgers offense. Rubby De La Rosa will have his hands full as he will try but more than likely fail to lower his 5.09 ERA.

DFS Pitchers to Consider for DraftKings

Shelby Miller - SP - $8,400 (Rain Possibility)

This is an obvious play except for the possibility of a rain delay. Shelby Miller struggled against the Diamondbacks and let up four runs in four innings. Miller has had a 1.89 ERA and that should not change against the Padres which have been highly inconsistent the whole season.

Cole Hamels - SP - $10,400

The Reds have been struggling to beat the Phillies and that should continue today. Hamels is just a filthy pitcher that will dominate a game. The high chances of rain are disrupting my picks but still Hamels is a must play against a team that has been disrupted by the Phillies.

DFS Infielders to Consider for DraftKings

Jose Reyes - SS - Jays - $4,900

Jose has been an absolute tear as of recently. 11 game hit streak and the Blue Jays have been rolling along with it. Anyone in the Blue Jays lineup is a possibility for a solid game, look for more Blue Jays to fill up your roster.

Adam LaRoche - 1B - Sox - $3,800

Along with Jose Reyes, Adam LaRoche has been on a hitting streak as well. It ended last game against the Tigers but should start again tonight as he faces a tough but hittable Lance McCullers. LaRoche should use today to start another streak and continue his improved batting.

Neil Walker - 2B - Pirates - $4,000

Neil Walker has been quietly one of the more consistent offensive forces for the Pirates this season. Other than a rough last game against the Braves, Walker should begin another nice hitting streak that he had going. Another player that has no problem making contact should have a nice stat sheet at the end of his night as righty Jimmy Nelson should look toward another L in his book.

Russell Martin - C - $4,300

Russell Martin is one of the top hitting catchers today and he is facing a favorable matchup in Brad Hand. He may be your best and only viable option today so do not pass over Martin when you are making your lineup.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for DraftKings

Jose Bautista - OF - $5,400

It seems as if Jose Bautista had been forgotten as a premier power hitter. After his two home run game last game, Bautista is back to his top form, he has a favorable matchup against the lefty Brad Hand and his 4.24 ERA.

Torii Hunter - OF - $4,200

I choose hits over power any day in fantasy so if Jose Bautista is too risky then Torii Hunter would be a solid replacement for much cheaper. Torii has proven that he can still make contact on any given day. Hunter is a daily threat and look to continue his promising offensive tenure.

Yasiel Puig - OF - $4,900

I know I said I would stay away from many of the big name, higher priced players but this matchup is too good not to take. One of the top hitters in the MLB taking on a 5.09 ERA pitcher? This is a cheap opportunity I will not be passing up. Puig has been in a bit of a slump but it only take one good swing of the bat to change that.
