MLB DFS - Lineup Advice, Picks, and Sleepers for DraftKings 9/10/15

There are eight games this Thursday, September 10th, and paying high for pitching will be unnecessary. Every split that I have given for an offensive player is based on splits against the opposing pitcher. If Shin Soo-Choo faces Felix Hernandez, Soo-Choo stats will show his averages against RHP. All of my options that I have advised are based on potential and price. I try to stay closer to the lower end but still give must-play options with higher-priced players. I gave a game-by-game summary of each matchup that should be exploited and should have supplied you with plenty of options. I wish you the best of luck, and follow me on Twitter and let me know if you have any questions.

Game by Game Analysis for DraftKings Lineups

Rockies @ Padres

This park favors pitchers, and Jorge De la Rosa should prosper. De La Rosa’s 10.63 K/9 vs LHB along with the fact that there are no Padres players that would keep me from giving De la Rosa the start here. Nolan Arenado (.631 SLG% / .399 wOBA/ 137 wRC+), Corey Dickerson (.534 SLG%/ .374 wOBA / 121 wRC+), and Carlos Gonzalez (.642 SLG% / .418 wOBA / 150 wRC+) face a tough matchup with Tyson Ross but should be able to produce. If anyone on the Padres would get a hit, go cheap with Cory Spangenberg (.316 SLG% / .339 wOBA / 118 wRC+).

Rangers @ Mariners

Derek Holland only has 30 innings of experience this season but has the chance to make a big league presence against the Mariners Thursday. With the lack of offensive talent on the Seattle roster, Holland should capitalize, while Shin soo-Choo (.505 SLG% / .384 wOBA / 141 wRC+) and Mitch Moreland (.533 SLG% / .378 wOBA / 137 wRC+) should carry the Rangers offensive weight against Felix Hernandez. Hernandez does have an impressive 2.84 ERA against RHB, but a 4.43 ERA against LHB, favors soo-Choo and Moreland.

Cubs @ Phillies

Jake Arrieta is always looks like the best play... and Thursday he is. Cheap option Aaron Altherr (.639 SLG% / .442 wOBA / 183 wRC+) has managed to produce in minimal plate attempts for the offensively disabled Phillies. Anthony Rizzo (.496 SLG% / .398 wOBA / 153 wRC+) may be expensive, but he has the chance to eat Phillies pitcher Adam Morgan alive.

Brewers @ Pirates

Right off the bat, the park is a pitcher's paradise. I could not confidently advise any batting options for either team. Instead, I would advise both Wily Peralta as a super cheap option with potential against a cold Pirates team. Do not sleep on the Pirates, as they are still a powerful team on a bit of a cold streak. For A.J. Burnett on the other hand, a 23.1 K% vs RHB and a 3.26 ERA vs LHB means Burnett should dominate the Brewers.

Blue Jays @ Yankees

While both Luis Severino and David Price are top quality pitchers, I would not advise either given that both the Yankees and Blue Jays have above average offenses. The only player that sticks out as a must-play would be Greg Bird who has been on a bit of hot streak lately.

Tigers @ Indians

I do not see Alfredo Simon as a threatening pitcher, so I advise Abraham Almonte (.639 SLG% / .423 wOBA / 175 wRC+) as a super cheap option that should produce. Danny Salazar is not necessarily cheap but would be a solid option for Thursday if the price fits our lineup. With a 26.6 K% vs RHB and 28.2 K% vs LHB, the Tigers should be shut down strictly by Salazar.

Mets @ Braves

This park favors LHB significantly more than RHB, so Michael Conforto gets the nod against Shelby Miller who is easily hittable when facing LHB. For the Braves, ff Hector Olivera (.533 SLG% / .380 wOBA / 142 wRC+) can get the start, he should destroy Bartolo Colon. Colon has a 4.77 ERA against RHB, and Olivera is extremely cheap with a ton of potential.

Cardinals @ Reds

While the Cardinals have been playing well lately, today may not be their day when facing LHP John Lamb. Eugenio Suarez (.492 SLG% / .366 wOBA / 130 wRC+), Ivan De Jesus (.500 SLG% / .366 wOBA / 129 wRC+) and Joey Votto (.521 SLG% / .422 wOBA / 168 wRC+) are must-play options for Thursday and conveniently on the same team. I can only advise a few Reds players that stretch from cheap to expensive but should all be solid options against LHP Jaime Garcia.
