BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 54% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: As much as the Falcons have truly stunk through Week 4, they finally got things right in last Sunday's Week 5 trip to London to face the Jets abroad. The same goes, by extension, for Matt Ryan's season to date. Ryan started the year with a resounding dud, leveled up a bit in Weeks 2 and 3, and finally exploded against Washington with 29 FP in Week 4 putting up another 21+ FP game last weekend.
I know the Falcons are going on a bye this upcoming Week, but their numbers have been way better of late than at the start of the season. Ryan, by the way, hasn't been that bad as some analysts would make you believe. Ryan has completed 68.8% of all of his passing attempts through Week 5, has thrown for 243+ yards in four games straight, and is coming off his best passing game of the season on all fronts (yes, he had more FP a week ago, but he needed four touchdowns). Ryan put up a very solid 33-of-45, 342-yard, 2-TD game against the Jets internationally, which you can't argue against in any sensical way.
Perhaps most encouragingly, was Kyle Pitts' breakout game. It took time, sure, but he finally racked up fantasy goodies to the tune of a 26.9 PPR-point game for a TE2 finish (pending MNF) that came from a 9-of-10 on the receiving end to go with 192 yards and a touchdown. Here's hoping he can keep it up. Getting back to Ryan, and although he's going on a Bye, you'd be smart stashing him for a week and making him your starter for now on (if you've been streaming the position), and definitely playing him ROS in deeper formats.
