Jerome Ford fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Jerome Ford for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2 with temporary RB1 upside
ANALYSIS: Jerome Ford, who is the Cleveland Browns’ current RB1 while Nick Chubb (ACL) is on the PUP list, had an excellent Week 1 performance against the Dallas Cowboys. He has 18 total touches (12 rushes and six receptions) for 69 total yards and one touchdown. Those numbers were good enough for 18.9 fantasy points (PPR) and a RB10 finish.

Ford saw plenty of touches and it was clear that he will continue to play a large part in the Browns’ offense with Chubb out. It is also worth noting that Cleveland’s quarterback Deshaun Watson struggled early in Week 1 (169 yards, 1TD, 2 INT), creating a larger opportunity for Ford to get even more carries.
Heading into Week 2, as the Browns are set to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ford is poised to lead the team in carries and rack up some short receptions to help bail out the struggling Watson.
Also, if the Browns are to score an offensive touchdown, Ford is the most likely to do so. As I mentioned above, Cleveland is a run-first offense, and their passing attack is in bad shape right now. Fantasy managers should find a way to start Ford in Week 2, whether it be in a RB or FLEX spot.
