Gameweek 21 Rankings - Fantasy Premier League Predictions, Tips, and Picks for 2023/24

FPL Gameweek 21 rankings, predictions, tips, and picks for Fantasy Premier League lineups. RotoBaller's EPL fantasy Gameweek 21 rankings for the 2023/24 FPL season.

Welcome to Gameweek 21, RotoBallers! This is our third year covering FPL, and we are bringing you more coverage than ever. We publish two weekly articles: a staff roundtable preview and our weekly rankings. Then, once a month, we have our newest report, The Watchlist, a review of the previous month and a look ahead to the upcoming fixtures.

Twenty gameweeks down, 18 to go. After a break for the domestic cup competitions, the Premier League returns, albeit in an unusual fashion. Gameweek 21 will last 10 days as the teams play their 21st fixture of the season over two weekends. As a result, injuries and surprises will pop up after the deadline. Make sensible transfers and try to limit the gambles this gameweek as there will be a lot of unknowns to pop up before some of our FPL players even kick a ball.

The Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 21 deadline is 1:15 PM ET on Friday, January 12, when Burnley welcomes Luton Town in a vital relegation match. Also, look out for the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every English Premier League, Major League Soccer, and UEFA Champions League slate from a DFS and betting perspective.

Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek 21 Rankings

Our weekly rankings highlight players who could be worth a punt in your Fantasy Premier League squad. While the rankings will be filled with familiar names, a low-owned player with an easy fixture will rise up the one-week charts. For each gameweek, we will provide our top-15 goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. These can also be applied as DFS rankings for your weekend contests.

Gameweek 20 Fantasy Premier League High Scorers

  • Goalkeeper: Alphonse Areola, West Ham - 11 points
  • Defender: Craig Dawson, Wolves - 14 points
  • Midfielder: Cole Palmer, Chelsea - 18 points
  • Forward: Matheus Cunha, Wolves - 12 points

FPL Goalkeepers - Gameweek 21 Rankings

  • Clean sheets have come few and far between during the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League campaign. It makes me nervous to recommend a keeper too much, but I'm going off the list here for Martin Dubravka. He made eight saves versus Liverpool in Gameweek 20 and a penalty save. A clean sheet is highly unlikely, but he could have a chance at double-digit saves and several added points. The Slovakian keeper is a fine option if you don't have Alphonse Areola to rotate him with.

FPL Defenders - Gameweek 21 Rankings

  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (knee) is set to miss Gameweek 21, but could be back for Gameweek 22. As a result, FPL managers shouldn't rush to get rid of the English right back. However, if you have somehow survived the wave of injuries, Pervis Estupinan is worth a shout. Since his return, the Ecuadorian defender has two goals and a clean sheet in three games.

FPL Midfielders - Gameweek 21 Rankings

  • Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min are off to their continental competitions, and it's left a bit of a shake-up in the midfielder rankings. Bukayo Saka tops the list and is an excellent captaincy option, but does play on the second weekend of Gameweek 21. Therefore, I prefer the man in second place, Cole Palmer. He looked incredibly attacking versus Middlesborough in the League Cup on Tuesday and is coming off an 18-point haul versus Luton. The English midfielder is the leading candidate to captain my Gameweek 21 side.

FPL Forwards - Gameweek 21 Rankings

  • Well, well, well, look who's returning to the player pool. Ivan Toney (suspension) has missed the first 19 games of Brentford's season but is a tremendous boost to their chances of avoiding relegation. Transfer rumors are swirling around the striker, but he's a great bet to return to the scoresheet in Gameweek 21 immediately. With Erling Haaland's (foot) status in doubt, Ivan Toney is a tremendous DFS option against Nottingham Forest.
