FanDuel MMA DFS Lineup Picks: Eye vs. Calvillo - UFC Fight Night

Dennis' FanDuel DFS lineup picks for UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo. Read his MMA DFS analysis, and build winning daily fantasy MMA lineups.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship keeps on rolling as the organization is back for its third consecutive card from the Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card is highlighted by a main event Flyweight bout between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo, along with a co-main event battle between Karl Roberson and Marvin Vettori.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy MMA lineup picks for FanDuel for UFC Fight Night on 6/13/2020. You can check out our DraftKings MMA DFS picks as well. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced fighters and value picks on FanDuel.

UFC Fight Night Catchweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Merab Dvalishvili, $20 - vs. Gustavo Lopez

After Ray Borg withdrew from the bout against Dvalishvili, he was replaced by Gustavo Lopez, with this contest now being fought at Catchweight. Lopez has had a successful mixed martial arts career up to this point and will be making his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut. He has stops at Bellator and Combate Americas and has won his last three fights all within the first round.

Dating back to 2018, Dvalishvili has also won his last three fights, but they have instead been decided via unanimous decision. He has a chance to make it four-in-a-row. Though "The Machine" isn't known for ending fights early, he averages nearly four landed strikes per minute to go along with just about eight takedowns across 15 minutes. However, it wouldn't be a surprise if he were to score a quick victory over the UFC newcomer.

UFC Fight Night Bantamweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Julia Avila, $19 - vs. Gina Mazany

Avila was originally scheduled to fight Karol Rosa but will now instead battle Mizany, who is taking this fight on short notice. Mizany's UFC tenure hasn't been memorable by any means. She has a 1-3 record with the organization going back to 2017, losing bouts to Sara McMann, Lina Lansberg, and Macy Chiasson. After winning her previous professional fight in the King of the Cage promotion, she will be making her return while also looking to avoid her fourth loss with the promotion.

Avila made her UFC debut in July of last year, defeating Pannie Kianzad via unanimous decision. Before her arrival, she had a 6-1 mixed martial arts record, with her only loss on the books being the result of a broken hand suffered while fighting Marciea Allen in Invicta FC. "Raging Panda" is a multi-dimensional fighter capable of dispatching her opponents in a variety of ways, so the odds are favorable that this one won't last long.

UFC Fight Night Flyweight - MMA DFS Lineup Picks

Jessica Eye, $18 - vs. Cynthia Calvillo

Eye is entering this contest as the No. 1 ranked competitor in the Flyweight division. She is also fresh off of a win over Viviane Araujo at UFC 245 and will be fighting for a chance to face the current champion, Valentina Shevchenko, somewhere down the line. On the other hand, Calvillo is looking to bounce back after her match with Marina Rodriguez in December was ruled a draw. The 32-year-old has lost only once in her career. With a win here, she could find herself climbing the rankings in the Strawweight division, with an opportunity to face title-holder, Weili Zhang, potentially emerging sooner rather than later.

To pick up a win over Eye on Saturday night won't be easy for Calvillo. She is naturally smaller and gives up a few inches of reach while also going up against one of the best strikers that she has ever faced throughout her tenure as a competitor. Undoubtedly, the Team Alpha Male disciple's best chance of securing a win over "Evil" will come on the mat. However, while she may be able to take her down, she may not be able to keep her there. As a result, the most practical outcome could see Eye closing the gap and walking away with a finish due to strikes.

Also Consider: Andre Fili ($21), Jordan Griffin ($19), Mariya Agapova ($17), Anthony Ivy ($16), Cynthia Calvillo ($16), Tyson Nam ($15)
