BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 26% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: It took fantasy GMs all of one game--on Thursday Night Football, so the first to come on Week 9--to find the best WR of the week. Yes, I'm talking about Elijah Moore, and I feel for those GMs out there desperate for their WW to run so they can get some shares of Moore ahead of W10.
Moore has been kind of used by the Jets this season, but not since Week 2 had he either 1) played for a 60% snap share or higher (61% in Week 9, 78% back on Week 2) or 2) got targeted more than 6 times (8 targets in both W2 and W9). I know what you'd say: "but this was a fluke, and not even QB1 Zach Wilson was throwing the ball!". Yes. That's right. But Moore's upside has been growing weekly since NY came from the W6 Bye (from 10.2 to 13.1 to now 27.4 PPR points) so he's a surefire target for those in the slightest of deeper leagues.
Moore put up that PPR tally thanks to a fantastic 8-7-84-2 outing in which he put up season-high numbers in all statistical categories other than targets (he tied his prior best). The Jets are definitely not what we would consider a flamethrowing offense, surely, but they're so barren of talent that it had to pop up somewhere and it looks like Moore is the one man bringing the fireworks. Again, not a lock to start in shallower leagues, but a must-roster and starter player with upside for WR2 finishes here and there--and definitely a WR3/FLEX starter in those formats.
