DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/27/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Paul Goldschmidt - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS Picks

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on July 27, 2023. Mike's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have our lightest Thursday in months, made even lighter because both sites left off both games of the Tigers/Angels double dip. That leaves us three games tonight, but we still have some interesting ones out there with two of them being rivalry games.

This article contains my picks for the three-game main slate on Thursday, July 27, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 7:10 PM ET. There are no weather concerns for any of the three games, so our selections shouldn't be trimmed down any more than they already are.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kodai Senga, NYM vs. WAS ($9,000 DK, $10,600 FD)

Senga hasn't given up more than two earned runs in a start since Father's Day against the Cardinals. He also boasts a 2.50 ERA in nine starts at CitiField this year. One of those was against the Nationals back in April. He was effective in that game, which is what we should expect from him here. Senga has eight or more strikeouts in four of his last six games and fanned seven Nats in five innings the first time around. He should live up to his billing as the most expensive pitcher on the slate.

Tanner Bibee, CLE at CWS ($7,200 DK, $9,600 FD)

Bibbee has only allowed four earned runs in his last five starts spanning 29 2/3 innings. He has racked up 34 strikeouts in that span as well and has only allowed one home run. His season-long numbers are already good, but he has been next-level over the last month. Despite what the Sox did to Marcus Stroman last night, I'm not scared of them. Stroman has had speed bumps lately anyway. Bibee is cruising on the Autobahn in comparison.

Others to consider: Josiah Gray ($6,600 DK, $8,600 FD) at STL

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Paul Goldschmidt - 1B, STL vs. CHC ($6,000 DK, $3,900 FD)

Goldy had two homers and five RBI in the three games in Phoenix and has a modest four-game hitting streak going. He has reached base in every game since the All-Star break and has a pretty good history against Cubs starter Justin Steele. Goldschmidt is 5-for-16 with a homer in his career against Steele and should be hitting cleanup against him tonight.

Nico Hoerner - 2B/SS, CHC at STL ($5,300 DK, $3,600 FD)

The Cubs just scored 17 runs in two games against their crosstown rivals after hanging 15 on the Cardinals in the last two games of their series in Wrigley. This offense is cooking right now and Hoerner is a huge reason why. In those four games, Hoerner was 9-for-16 with two walks, two doubles, a homer, three RBI, six runs scored, and four stolen bases. That's a hell of a lot of fantasy points.

Miles Mastrobuoni - 2B(FD)-3B(DK), CHC at STL ($2,500 DK, $2,400 FD)

Mastrobuoni has nine hits in his last six games with a homer, two RBI, three stolen bases, and seven runs scored in that span. He continues to start against right-handed pitching, so expect him in the lineup again. We need the value because we're paying up at the other infield slots. I know there are a lot of Cubs and Cardinals in here so far, but there's going to be some great hitting weather in St. Louis tonight.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Steven Kwan - OF, CLE at CWS ($4,600 DK, $3,100 FD)

Kwan kept his hot streak going yesterday with a single, two walks, and two RBI. He is hitting .333 since the break with two homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored, and a steal in that span. Cleveland's offense as a whole has been much better since the beginning of June. I definitely want the leadoff hitter of that offense at this discounted price on FD.

Tyler O'Neill - OF, STL vs. CHC ($3,600 DK, $2,300 FD)

O'Neill is criminally underpriced on FanDuel. He has reached base in all but one of the six games since his return from the IL, putting together four doubles, three runs, and three RBI. He is 2-for-6 in his career against Justin Steele with a homer. St. Louis has batted him in the middle of the order since his return. O'Neill even hit cleanup yesterday. I'll have him in every FD lineup, but he's still cheap enough for usage on DK as well. He's just not as great of a bargain.

Gabriel Arias - 3B/OF(DK)-1B/2B/SS(FD), CLE at CWS ($2,000 DK, $2,000 FD)

I was going to put another Cub here, but instead, I opted for Arias. He should have a full-time job now with Amed Rosario dealt to the Dodgers for Thor last night and he's minimum price on both sites. Getting a starter for minimum price allows us to stack up the top options across the board in our lineups. Even if he doesn't score a single point, what he offers in the form of salary relief is priceless.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Chicago Cubs vs. Miles Mikolas

It's going to be hot and humid in St. Louis tonight and Mikolas was just jumped by the Cubs for 11 hits and five runs in five innings last week. I highlighted a few Cubs up top, but it's easy to full-stack the Cubbies here. I will definitely have a cheaper Mike Tauchman still batting leadoff and Ian Happ hitting third to go with Hoerner and Mastrobuoni. You can add Seiya Suzuki and Cody Bellinger, or add a lower-owned Yan Gomes in a wrap-around stack. Both are viable options tonight.

Also consider: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Justin Steele

I won't be full-stacking this since Steele has dominated the Cubs twice this season so far. The issue is that the Cardinals, in particular their right-handed hitters, are getting healthy. Add in the great hitting weather and a lineup full of righties, and this could be a rougher matchup for Steele.

Sneaky Stack: New York Mets vs. Josiah Gray

Gray dominated the Mets earlier this year and is coming off of a gem against the Giants last week. Don't pay attention to the price. Pay attention to the guy. Gray is pitching well and the Mets aren't hitting anything. That provides an opportunity to stack them up at depressed prices. Gray has allowed four runs or more four times since the beginning of June. He can be had.
