DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/30/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Mike Marteny offers his DraftKings daily fantasy college basketball sleepers for 1/27/21. His CBB DFS lineup picks and sleepers will help you win on DraftKings.

We have another marquee ten-game slate on DraftKings today. We have the SEC-Big 12 challenge going on. Half of the contest is made up of those games. This is going to be a lot of fun! We also have Duke on here, a handful of Big East action, Wisconsin and some more ACC matchups. Where do we target?

In college basketball it's perfectly fine to ignore slow-paced games or teams with tough matchups on a large slate like this. Don't worry, we have plenty of paced-up games going on here. Oklahoma-Alabama is the one that stands out to me. Alabama is in the top 25 in pace. Oklahoma is in the top 50. Both teams are in the top 20 in points per 100 possessions. Getting this game right is going to go a long ways towards vaulting us up the leaderboard. LSU and Texas Tech is intriguing as well.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/30/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jared Butler, Baylor ($8,800)

Baylor is a lethal combination of a great defense and an electric offense. The Bears are sixth in the country in scoring with 87.5 points per game while allowing only 61.8 points per game. Only Oklahoma and Texas Tech have been able to hold Butler under 35 DraftKings points since conference play began. Blowout or not, Butler is going to put up some good numbers. It helps that Auburn is one of the hottest teams going right now and should be able to keep this game close, at least for a while. You can run this back with Sharife Cooper if you want, but I prefer to target other games and cheaper Auburn players more. Baylor likes to lock up the best player and make someone else beat them.

Austin Reaves, Oklahoma ($7,700)

Reaves has played 78 of the 80 minutes in the last two games in key matchups with Kansas and Texas. He leads the Sooners in scoring and assists. Oh, and this is the highest paced game on the slate. There's usually one or two other players that go off alongside Reaves, but good luck predicting who it will be. Reaves is the sure-fire way to get the most bang for your buck on the Oklahoma side. At least with Alabama you know where the production is coming from. After Reaves on the Oklahoma side, you really don't. I like the idea of running it back with Jaden Shackleford against Reaves.

Isaac Likekele, Oklahoma State ($7,200)

Cade Cunningham is supposedly going to be monitored today. Less minutes for him should mean more production for Likekele. This game is the sneaky spot for production. The Razorbacks lead the SEC with 84.4 points per game. Oklahoma State is third in the Big 12 with 76.6 points per game. Oklahoma State's scoring is a little more concentrated with Cunningham usually leading the team. Likekele is the second leading scorer for the Cowboys. I expect him to ascend to the top with Cunningham's minutes being monitored. The Piggies have five guys who average double digit points per game.

Tyree Appleby, Florida ($5,900)

Sure, Tre Mann gets most of the attention for the Gators, but in SEC play, Appleby's production has been very close to that of Mann at a fraction of the cost. We need value somewhere if you want to stack the high-scoring games of the SEC-Big 12 matchups. This one wont be all that high scoring. Here we are taking advantage of Appleby being priced way below his production level. Appleby has at least 25 DraftKings points in four straight games.

Also consider: Jalen Tate, Arkansas ($7,400); Mac McClung, Texas Tech ($7,300) Joshua Primo, Alabama ($5,400); Wyatt Wilkes, Florida State ($3,700)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Sandro Mamukelashvili, Seton Hall ($8,400)

Sandro has been one of the few bright spots for the Hall this year. The bad part is that he struggles with consistency. However, Villanova couldn't handle Sandro last week when he took them for 41.75 DraftKings points. The caveat here is that Sandro's output will depend on the Pirates keeping pace with Villanova again. There are a few safer spots below Sandro here, but he may have the highest ceiling among forwards on this slate. I expect most to flock to the sexy matchups of the SEC-Big 12 challenge. There could be sneaky value in the Seton Hall-Villanova tilt.

Herbert Jones, Alabama ($7,600)

The Tide are rolling coming into this game, winning ten straight including all nine SEC games they've played. The senior leadership of Jones is a big reason why. Jones does a lot of everything for the Tide. As he goes, so goes the team. Alabama likes to run the court, but Oklahoma has the horses to keep up with them. A couple of teams have succeeded in taking Jones out of the game, but I don't think Oklahoma has the defensive chops to do it. This is going to be a high-scoring game with Jones and the red-hot John Petty leading the way. Both are priced reasonably enough that you can use them in the same lineup.

Moses Moody, Arkansas ($6,700)

Moody's price dropped off a cliff after his absolutely dreadful game against Ole Miss earlier this week (yes, I wrote him up for that one too). The fact is that Moody's upside is as good as anyone. His floor is terrifying. It will drop right out from under you just like the Finnish Fling at World of Fun in Kansas City. The only difference is that gravity wont hold you to the wall. If you swing and miss with Moody, you have no chance. However, the $2,100 price drop from Wednesday makes this a very tempting spot in a game that has the highest implied total on the slate.

Also consider: Jared Rhoden, Seton Hall ($7,400); Aamir Simms, Clemson ($6,900); Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe, Oklahoma State ($6,000); Brady Manek, Oklahoma ($4,000)
