David Njoku fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit David Njoku for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku (ankle) now has a gunslinger in Jameis Winston throwing him the ball. This is sure to lead to more production. Winston is a high volume passer, the football equivalent of one of the old west's wildest outlaws, and a huge fantasy asset for all Browns' receivers and TEs.

He's set up for elite TE1 production, and should not be left out of lineups from now on. That is, unless, he's injured. He practiced on Wednesday, but was added to the injury report with an ankle issue Thursday and wasn't able to participate in formal team activities.
#Browns TE David Njoku not practicing today with ankle injury. He was hurt in opener and missed three games.
He told me before practice he was feeling healthier.

It's unclear if this is related to the high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 1, which caused him to miss three games. More clarity about the situation could come out in the coming days, so fantasy managers should check back for news as Cleveland's matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday draws closer.
