Daily Fantasy WNBA Lineup Picks (7/25/17): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings

Dennis Clausen's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 7/25/17. Expert WNBA DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for DraftKings.

After a brief all-star break, the WNBA returns on Tuesday with the biggest slate of the season. Five games will be featured for DFS play including Breanna Stewart and the Seattle Storm visiting the Los Angeles Sparks, the reigning WNBA champs.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/25/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. All "fantasy points" and salary references are exclusive to the DraftKings scoring system. As always, check player statuses prior to lock time.

Follow me on Twitter and feel free to leave me a comment @Den_Clausen. Let's get started!

WNBA - DFS Guards for DraftKings

Skylar Diggins-Smith - G, Dallas Wings vs Indiana Fever ($11,600)

Dallas doesn’t have much going for them but one of the high points of the Wings’ season has been the play of Skylar Diggins-Smith. While Allisha Gray and Karima Christmas-Kelly have potential to put up some fantasy points, nobody has been more consistent in Dallas than Diggins-Smith. She will cost you but she is worth every penny, especially against an Indiana team that is allowing opposing teams to shoot nearly 50 percent from the field. She is going to have some fun with the Fever on Tuesday night.

Courtney Vandersloot - G, Chicago Sky vs Connecticut Sun ($11,200)

Courtney Vandersloot’s fantastic performances as of late can be credited for Chicago’s recent success, which includes a recent win over the powerhouse Los Angeles Sparks. Over the last six contests, Vandersloot is averaging 13 points and 10 assists. Though Cappie Pondexter recently returned from a concussion, it doesn’t appear as if this will impact Vandersloot as she will likely continue to be a priority in the Sky’s game plan due to her recent play. She has a good chance of putting up a double-double which will get you extra points in the DraftKings scoring system.

Jewell Lloyd - G, Seattle Storm vs Los Angeles Sparks ($9,100)

Lloyd put up 22 points against Los Angeles in their last outing against each other. Hopefully, the Sparks decide to keep Alana Beard matched up with someone else which would increase Lloyd’s fantasy production. Lloyd is a threat from behind the arch, something Los Angeles has had trouble defending all season. If you want to pay the price, Lloyd isn’t a bad way to go as she has been consistent all season.

Brittney Sykes - G, Atlanta Dream vs Phoenix Mercury ($8,400)

Brittney Sykes has found her groove and has established herself as one of the offensive focal points in the Atlanta lineup. She played a team high 37 minutes in Atlanta’s last contest against Washington which was complimented by a 27 point performance. Her fantasy production has also skyrocketed as a result of her ability to draw fouls and was an efficient 21-for-23 from the free-throw line in her last two games. Since we need to find value in order to get the big names into our lineups on Tuesday, Sykes is preferred over the more expensive Layshia Clarendon even though she wouldn't be a bad addition either if you are able to afford her services.

Diana Taurasi – G, Phoenix Mercury vs Atlanta Dream ($7,900)

I don’t know why Diana Taurasi is priced so low but I’m happy and you should be too. Taurasi was a threat prior to Britteny Griner going down with a leg injury but is now the clear number one in the Phoenix offense. She leads the lead in three-pointers and if you are familiar with DraftKings, we know that extra points are awarded from shots from beyond the arch. By the way, in Phoenix’s last game against Atlanta, Taurasi scored 20 points and went 6-for-12 from long range. Take advantage of Taurasi’s low asking price and put her in your lineup.

Tiffany Mitchell - G, Indiana Fever vs Dallas Wings  ($5,600)

I’m not a big fan of the Indiana backcourt since the season ending injury to Shenise Johnson due to their inconsistent fantasy production but if you need to fine value, Tiffany Mitchell may be your answer. Though Briann January is capable of putting up some fantasy points, Tiffany Mitchell’s upside cannot be ignored, especially at that price. If you need to cut cost and separate yourself in tournaments on Tuesday, give Tiffany Mitchell a shot. You may be glad you did.

WNBA - DFS Forwards for DraftKings

We all know that having Nneka Ogwumike, Candace Parker, Breanna Stewart and Sylvia Fowles in your lineup at anytime is never a bad way to go so I will save everyone some reading and move on to others.

Maya Moore – F, Minnesota Lynx vs New York ($10,800)

The WNBA all-star game MVP has been on a roll as of late. Sylvia Fowles fantasy production has slightly decreased leaving the door open for Moore to pick up the slack. New York has had issues defending the three all season which is good news for anyone interested in adding Moore to their rosters on Tuesday.

Jonquel Jones -F, Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky ($10,700)

We love getting additional points for double-doubles which is why we also love Jonquel Jones. Chicago has been playing very well lately but that doesn’t mean Jones won’t produce on Tuesday. Don’t let Chicago’s recent surge in play scare you off, Jones will be just fine.

Alyssa Thomas – F, Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky ($10,200)

I’m not opposed to adding Alyssa Thomas into the mix alongside Jonquel Jones if you are looking for a more cost efficient stacking option. While combining Nneka Ogwumike and Candace Parker will cost you a hefty penny, you can save some cash by stacking Jones and Thomas instead. Though you may not get the same fantasy production, you can get pretty close to it.

Elizabeth Williams – F, Atlanta Dream vs Phoenix Mercury ($9,900)

Losing Brittney Griner has taken its toll on Phoenix which is not really a surprise. However, in the world of fantasy sports we love to take advantage of the misfortune of others. Though we wish Griner a speedy recovery and a lifetime of good health, we will keep our immediate focus on Tuesday night. Williams will be licking her chops to see some action and has a good chance of snagging a lot of rebounds and scoring a good chunk of points.

Glory Johnson – F, Dallas Wings vs Indiana Fever ($9,300)

You normally don’t hear much about Glory Johnson but she is capable of putting up some fantasy numbers. She’s an efficient scorer and can clean up well on the glass. While ladies like Breanna Stewart and Nneka Ogwumike are likely to get more press coverage (and rightfully so), don’t forget about Johnson. Indiana is having issues this season and Johnson can be a nice addition to your roster (or rosters) on Tuesday night.

Sancho Lyttle – F, Atlanta Dream vs Phoenix Mercury ($5,800)

Need to save some cash? Sancho Lyttle has had at least ten boards in each of her last two games. As mentioned when referencing Elizabeth Williams, Brittney Griner is out which will give Lyttle an opportunity to put up some fantasy points.
