D.J. Moore fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit D.J. Moore for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in all formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore is a great bet to get peppered with targets in Week 2 against the Houston Texans with Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen banged up. In Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, Caleb Williams showed he is a rookie by only throwing for 93 yards. The Texans may serve as another tough matchup for Williams, but Moore fantasy managers should be optimistic after eight targets in Week 1 and expected improvement from the number one overall pick.
If both Odunze and Allen miss Sunday night, Moore could be in for a big game, especially in PPR formats. Allen led the team in targets with 11 in Week 1, while Odunze was third in targets with four. Moore led the receiving core in snaps with an 88% snap share, meaning he was likely to be heavily involved anyway in a game where the Bears may be playing catchup early on.
The availability of both receivers plays a part in Moore’s upside, but no matter what, fantasy managers should be happy with the 27-year-old as their WR2.
