DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Late Saturday Slate (8/30/25)

Noah Fifita - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (8/30/25) late slate in Week 1. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

I love these late slates, especially early in the season. We see some very interesting matchups on these slates at this time of year. It makes me nostalgic for the old Pac-12 after dark. It will kind of be back next year, but it will never be the same. Who's burning the midnight oil with me? These are some of the easiest slates to make money on! Don't quit on me now!

We have some good offenses out here, an old Pac-12 showdown between Utah and USC, then we have...Cal. Yikes. Hey, at least the other seven teams all have upside, and only one game is expected to be a blowout.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the late DraftKings slate on 8/30/25, starting at 10:30 pm Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Devon Dampier, Utah ($8.8K)

What better way to end the Cameron Rising saga in Salt Lake than to go get the most athletic QB in the transfer portal? Dampier has a cannon for an arm and throws on the run almost as well as Jalon Daniels. Utah's resurrection this season depends on Dampier's ability to adapt to this offense. It already looks tailored to him.

Noah Fifita, Arizona ($7.3K)

I expect some growing pains with Fifita this year, considering he is playing without Tetairoa McMillan for the first time since seventh grade. Those likely won't happen against Hawaii. Hawaii's defense held its own against Stanford, but Stanford is...well...Stanford.

Ben Gulbranson has the same issues moving the ball as Ashton Daniels did last year. Fifita's talent wasn't all dependent on McMillan. He's still got a lot to offer, especially in DFS against a defense like this.

Maalik Muprhy, Oregon State ($5.2K)

I know...I know. Murphy was a dud at Texas and wasn't a lot better at Duke. That wasn't all his fault. You'll be surprised to know that Murphy topped 10 DK points in every game last year. Every single one of them. He's WAY too cheap in this situation.

Also consider: Demond Williams Jr., Washington ($9.3K); Micah Alejado, Hawaii ($7.7K); Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, Colorado State ($5.5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Anthony Hankerson, Oregon State ($7.7K)

Hankerson tallied over 1,000 rushing yards last year despite issues at QB. He's a workhorse back with little competition in the backfield. He's now alongside a mobile quarterback, but I still expect another 1,000 yards out of Hankerson. It starts here.

Wayshawn Parker, Utah ($5.9K)

I'm excited to watch Parker run behind this line. He was very good for a Washington State team that didn't have a great offensive line last year. Parker could put up some monster numbers this season. UCLA's defense is solid, but the offensive inefficiency put it in bad spots last year. That likely will still happen this year, at least at the beginning of the year.

Also consider: Jonah Coleman, Washington ($7.3K); Ismail Mahdi, Arizona ($4.5K); Jalen Dupree, Colorado State ($3.7K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Denzel Boston, Washington ($8.7K)

I'm a little surprised that Boston stuck around, but he and Demond Williams looked good at the end of last year. The prices on these two make it difficult to swing it, but there is enough value at running back if you elect to run a two-man Washington stack. It should make your lineup a bit unique.

Pofele Ashlock, Hawaii ($7K)

Ashlock is always intriguing on DraftKings because of the sheer volume of targets. He got another 10 targets in Week 0, and Micah Alejado played half of that game on one leg. Hawaii should trail for much of the game, leading to a lot of targets for Ashlock as Hawaii tries to keep up in Tucson.

Jordan Ross, Colorado State ($4.9K)

Ross was solid as a freshman alongside Tory Horton, the best receiver in school history, last year. Ross seems primed to take over a significant share of Horton's targets. Fowler-Nicolosi still throws the ball a lot and should pass even more with Colorado State expected to trail Washington for much of the game.

Also consider: Luke Wysong, Arizona ($6.1K); Jackson Harris, Hawaii ($5.8K); Tobias Merriweather, Utah ($5.4K); Jacob De Jesus, California ($4.6K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Utah

UCLA won't be as bad as last year, but I expect Utah to be significantly better. I'll have plenty of shares of Dampier and Wayshawn Parker, but who should we stack with them? Ryan Davis is the leading returning receiver, but Tobias Merriweather is the matchup nightmare at 6-foot-5.

Merriweather had a great camp, according to reports, and has taken to Dampier faster than the other Utah receivers. The Utah offense never saw a tight end that it didn't like, so Dallen Bentley is in play at a very low price as well.

Washington

A Washington stack is tough to pull off, but the Colorado State defense wasn't good last year and didn't improve much through the portal in the offseason. Williams/Coleman/Boston will set you back $25.3K, but there is enough value at other positions to make it work.

I also don't expect that to be a highly used stack due to the potential of the Hawaii passing game. You would stack Washington in a GPP and hope Hawaii can't solve the Arizona defense.

A suggested Washington stack would add slot receiver Omari Evans, leaving $4.8K per slot. That's not ideal, but it can be done. This is where the price of Maalik Murphy comes in handy, so we can still use two QBs.

Also consider: Hawaii, Oregon State, Colorado State (GPP only)
