CBB DFS: NCAA Tournament DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (3/23/24)

RJ Davis - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's NCAA Tournament DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 3/23/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

Our tournament day is truncated a bit today. There are only eight games instead of 16. It starts later and ends earlier, but it's still an all-day tilt fest. Trust me, we'll miss it when it's gone and that day is coming soon. Dayton and Arizona get the world to themselves before Kansas and Gonzaga do the same.

It picks up a little in the early evening with Michigan State facing North Carolina and Washington State facing Iowa State. Oakland takes on North Carolina State in the busted South Region. Texas takes on Tennessee. Duquesne takes on Illinois to end things in Omaha. The Dana Altman Cup between Oregon and Creighton from Pittsburgh ends our night.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 3/23/24, starting at 12:45 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Terrence Shannon Jr., Illinois ($9.1K)

Shannon is playing lights out when the Illini really need him. He has at least 40 DraftKings points in four straight games, which happens to be all of the postseason games for the Illini. Duquesne knocking off BYU did the Illini a favor. The Dukes aren't much different than the Morehead State team that ran out of gas in the second half. The Dukes were well represented in Omaha, but unless any of them can guard Shannon, he's going for 40 again.

Jack Gohlke, Oakland ($7K)

Gohlke was huge in the upset of Kentucky, putting up 39 DraftKings points in. Most of that was from points scored, but Gohlke has only made eight two-point shots on the season. He made 10-of-20 shots against Kentucky and they were all from three-point land. Gohlke has 22 made three-pointers in three postseason games. Oakland is going to need their sharpshooter to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. He is only the fifth player in NCAA Tournament history to hit 10 threes in a single game. I'm not bailing on the hot streak now!

Nicolas Timberlake, Kansas ($5.6K)

Timberlake went viral because he was the guy who got his dunk blocked and was errantly called a foul that allowed Kansas to pull away for the win. Don't get mad at Timberlake. He didn't blow the call. Timberlake filled in well for Kevin McCullar Jr. and he will need to again if Kansas is going to advance to the second weekend. We should get decent value out of him at this price.

Rocket Watts, Oakland ($3.7K)

Watts has been inconsistent since his return from an undisclosed injury on February 25. He did well in the first round of the Horizon Tournament but was a non-factor against Cleveland State before leaving the game with a back injury that cost him the Horizon Championship Game. Watts returned to the fold in the upset of Kentucky, putting up 16 DraftKings points in 20 minutes. I love the ceiling on Watts. I'm going to chase it at least once.

Also consider: Baylor Scheierman, Creighton ($9.3K); Marcus Domask, Illinois ($8.5K); RJ Davis, North Carolina ($8.3K); Jermaine Couisnard, Oregon ($8K); Jimmy Clark III, Duquesne ($7.7K); Keshon Gilbert, Iowa State ($7.4K); DJ Horne, North Carolina State ($7.1K); DQ Cole, Oakland ($6.2K); Jaden Bradley, Arizona ($4.8K); Isaiah Watts, Washington State ($4.4K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

DaRon Holmes II, Dayton ($9.3K)

Holmes might be the safest play on the whole slate. He hasn't been under 35 DraftKings points since February 6 and has only been under 40 three times in that span. Once was against Nevada in the opening round. Holmes was instrumental in the huge comeback that sent the Pack home. He's going to need to have one of those huge games against Arizona to come back next weekend.

Mohamed Diarra, North Carolina State ($7.2K)

Diarra has been huge in extending the season for the Wolfpack. He has 199.5 DraftKings points in the past five games alone. Those were games against Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, Virginia, and Texas Tech. All of those teams have far superior inside presences than Oakland can boast. The Wolfpack are technically a Cinderella team as an 11 seed, but fewer teams are as hot as they are now. Diarra is the main reason why.

Jaylen Wells, Washington State ($6.2K)

The list of players that I would run against Iowa State is a short one, but Wells is on it. He hasn't been under 20 DraftKings points since February 24. Wells is a solid scorer, but most of his value comes from defense and rebounding. In what promises to be a low-scoring game, I'll take the players that thrive because of defense and rebounding. They are the only ones whose ceilings remain intact in those types of games.

Ben Middlebrooks, North Carolina State ($4.2K)

Middlebrooks had his way with a fairly solid Texas Tech interior in the opening round. North Carolina is the only team that has contained him in the last four games. Middlebrooks had big games against Tech and Virginia. I'll trust that kind of output against those opponents in this price range.

Also consider: Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($9K); N'Faly Dante, Oregon ($8.8K); Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($8.5K); Trey Townsend, Oakland ($8.4K); KJ Adams Jr., Kansas ($7.3K); Coleman Hawkins, Illinois ($7.1K); Isaac Jones, Washington State ($6.8K); Milan Momcilovic, Iowa State ($6K); Dain Dainja, Illinois ($5.6K); David Dixon, Duquesne ($5.1K); Hason Ward, Iowa State ($4.8K); Jakub Necas, Duquesne ($3.9)
