Las Vegas Raiders - NFL Betting Analysis

After a season in which they concluded with an overall record of only 6-11, the Raiders are looking to take a step forward this season. Within the AFC-West, Las Vegas secured a 3rd place finish and went 3-3 record against divisional rivals. When playing on their home turf, the Raiders went 4-4, while they held a 2-7 record when competing on the road.

Las Vegas starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will taking over for Derek Carr who led the Raiders in passing yards last season (3522) and is now on the Saints. Last season, Garoppolo played in 11 games and finished with 2437 yards on a completion percentage of 67.2%. In 2022, the Raiders offense finished 16th in the NFL in third-down conversion rate (39.9%) and averaged 352.5 yards per game, putting them 13th in the league. On average, they threw the ball 34.5 times per game leading to 231.4 receiving yards per contest. Las Vegas' rushing attack finished 8th in yards per attempt.

Last season, the Raiders' defense was 15th in turnovers, having forced 13 takeaways. At season's end, they had a turnover differential of -8 which put them 17th in the league. Overall, they allowed an average of 24.6 points per game (25th) and 365.6 yards.

Las Vegas ended last season with an over/under record of 8-8-1 and finished with an average scoring differential of -1.4. Against the spread, the Raiders went 8-9, including 5-3 ATS at home and 3-6 on the road. For the season, Las Vegas was favored 10 times.

Denver Broncos - NFL Betting Analysis

As the new season approaches, the Broncos are aiming for some improvement after wrapping up last season in last place in the AFC-West and holding the 14th spot within the AFC. Denver's complete record stood at 5-12, which included a 1-8 road record and 4-4 when playing at home. In games against divisional opponents, the Broncos were 1-5 record.

Last season, Russell Wilson completed 60.5% of his passes for a total of 3524 yards. For the season, he finished 13th among QB's in passing yards and 12th in touchdowns (16). Wilson's passer rating for the season was 84.4 (40th). On offense, the Broncos are coming off a season in which they were 20th in yards per game and averaged 16.9 points per game (31st). In the passing attack, Denver was 16th in passing attempts and 19th in passing yards. On the ground, the Broncos averaged 113.8 yards per contest (21st).

On the defensive end, the Broncos are coming off a season in which they gave up an average of 21.1 points per game, putting them 12th. Overall, opponents averaged 320.0 yards per game vs. Denver. In terms of turnovers, the Broncos forced 23 takeaways, which was 6th in the NFL.

Last season, the Broncos put together an ATS record of 7-10 which included going 4-5 at home and 3-5 at home. The team's OU record for the season was 6-11 with 12 of their games failing to surpass this week's line of 44 points.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Raiders vs. Broncos

Last season, the Raiders and Broncos met up two times, with the Raiders going 2-0. The over/under under mark in these matchups was 1-1, with the team's combining to average 46.5 points per contest. When looking at the spread, the Raiders went 2-0 in their head-to-head matchups. In these head-to-head matchups, the Raiders' offense averaged 396 yards per game compared to the Broncos at 309.5.
