Washington Commanders - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Commanders will be looking to get back to winning ways, as they fell to the Tennessee Titans by a score of 21-17 in week 5. Not only did Washington lose the game, but they also failed to cover the spread. Going into the game, the team was 0.5 point underdogs. With an over-under betting line of 43, the two teams fell below that figure as they combined for 38. The Commanders were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Tennessee by a score of 21-17 heading into the final quarter. Through 5 games, the Commanders have an ATS record of 1-4. So far, they have an over-under record of 2-3. This week's betting total of 38.0 is lower than the line in their previous games.

Heading into this week's matchup, the Commanders' offense is averaging 18.0 points per game, placing them 26th in the NFL. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Bears defense giving up 106 points per game. In the passing game, the Commanders will need to be on top of their game, as they are matched up against a Chicago defense that has been tough on opposing quarterbacks. On the ground, our projections show that the Commander's offense will have its problems. Even though they have a decent matchup against a Chicago, look for Washington to come up with fewer rush yards than their season average of 89.0.

Chicago Bears - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Bears will look to get back on track, as they lost to the Minnesota Vikings in a NFC North matchup by a score 29-22. Chicago entered the game as 8.5 point underdogs, giving them an ATS win depsite the straight up loss. By the end of the game, the teams combined for 51 points, surpassing the betting line of 44. The Bears were not able to make a comeback in last week's game, as they trailed Minnesota by a score of 21-19 heading into the final quarter. Through 5 games, the Bears have an ATS record of 2-2-1. So far, they have an over-under record of 2-3. This week's betting total of 38.0 is slightly lower than the line in their previous games.

As the Bears prepare to take on Washington, they are ranked 27th in points per game at 17.2. Look for the team to put together a strong offensive performance vs a Commander's defense giving up 128 points per game. Although the Bears come into the game ranked 32nd in pass yards per game, they will benefit from facing a Washington secondary that is vulnerable through the air. We expect Chicago to have an above-average performance in the passing attack. On the ground, the Bears should also be in line for a good performance, as they are one of the better rushing team's in the league and are facing a defense that has its problem stopping the run.

Today's NFL Betting Pick - Commanders vs. Bears

Washington comes into the game looking to continue their recent success over Chicago, as they have a record of 4-1 over the last 5 meetings. The two teams have combined to average 54.0 points per game in their last 5 meetings. Washington and Chicago did not play each other in the 2021-2022 regular season.

The Washington Commanders have gone 2-1 vs the spread in these games. The Commanders' offense has averaged 28.4 points per game over the 5 most recent meetings with Chicago, compared to the Bears at 25.6.

Over their last 3 regular season games, the Commanders have gone 0-3 straight up. Like their straight up record, Washington struggled vs the spread, going 0-3. Over these games, they put together an over-under record of 0-3.

Although Washington has a straight up record of 1-2 in their last 3 road games, they have not held up as well vs the spread going 1-2. The team averaged 19.67 points per game in these games.

Through their 3 most recent regular season matchups, the Bears have gone 1-2. In a similar fashion, the team's record vs the spread in these games was just 1-1-1. Their over-under record in this span was 2-1.

When looking at their past 3 home matchups, Chicago has an ATS record of 2-0-1 while averaging 23.67 per game. The team went 3-0 overall in these games.

Recommended ATS Betting Pick: Bears -1.0

Recommended OU Betting Pick: Under 38.0
