Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

White Sox Sit Yasmani Grandal On Sunday

Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal will be absent from Sunday's lineup versus the Texas Rangers. The veteran has been off to a really rocky start this season and has just six hits over 46 at-bats this season with two home runs and nine RBI. Grandal has also struggled defensively with four catcher interference calls […]

White Sox Demote Danny Mendick

The Chicago White Sox have sent infielder Danny Mendick to their alternative training site. The White Sox needed a bullpen arm for Sunday and Mendick was the odd man out. Mendick saw most of his playing time at shortstop when Tim Anderson was injured earlier this season, but hasn't played much of a role since […]

White Sox Recall Jonathan Stiever

The Chicago White Sox have recalled pitcher Jonathan Stiever from the teams alternative training site. Stiever was called up as the 27th man last Sunday for the clubs doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox, but didn't make an appearance. One of the White Sox top pitching prospects, Stiever possesses one of the best curveballs in […]

Nick Madrigal Hits Walk-Off Double

Chicago White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal went 1-for-4 with a walk-off RBI double on Saturday versus the Texas Rangers. Madrigal will help managers seeking hits and batting average, but he doesn't […]

Lucas Giolito Has Start Pushed Back To Tuesday

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito has had his scheduled start on Sunday pushed back to Tuesday. Giolito cut his middle finger when he thought a glass water bottle was a twist off and it wasn't. Giolito is coming off of a rare brutal start against the Red Sox on Monday, but he will […]

Michael Kopech Will Start On Sunday

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa has announced that pitcher Michael Kopech will start Sunday's game versus the Texas Rangers. Kopech has been dominant out of the bullpen this year, but his last appearance was as an opener versus the Boston Red Sox last Sunday. In that outing, Kopech went three innings and allowed […]

Liam Hendriks Blows Second Save

Chicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks blew his second save of the season on Saturday versus the Texas Rangers. Dallas Keuchel Has Best Start Of 2021

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel put together his best start of the season in a no decision versus the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Eric Sogard Picks Up Three Hits

Chicago Cubs second baseman Eric Sogard went 3-for-4 with a run scored and three singles in Saturday's loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Jason Heyward Hits Second Home Run

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home on Saturday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Heyward crushed a fastball from Brewers relief pitcher Devin Williams to cut the Brewers lead to one in the bottom of the eighth, but it wasn't enough to take down the Brew Crew. Heyward […]

Adbert Alzolay Pitches Well In Third Start

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay performed well in a no decision on Saturday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Alzolay was recalled prior to the game and it was his first big league action since April 14. Cubs Recall Adbert Alzolay For Saturday's Start

The Chicago Cubs have recalled starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay for Saturday's versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Alzolay has made both of his starts […]

Javier Baez Will Sit Out Saturday

Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez will rest on Saturday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Liam Hendriks Records Final Five Outs

Dylan Cease Issues Three More Walks

Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease lasted a season low 3 1/3 innings on Friday versus the Texas Rangers. The young right-hander is […]

Yermin Mercedes Won't Stop Hitting

Chicago White Sox designated hitter Yermin Mercedes continued his incredible start to the season in Friday's victory against the Texas Rangers. Javier Baez Hits Sixth Home Run

Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez remained hot on Friday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Baez went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a solo home run.
