Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller

5043 articles

You won't find a bigger Cubs fan than myself. Aside from my love of fantasy sports, which includes MLB, NFL and NBA, I own my own animal care business. I graduated from Columbia College in Chicago and currently reside in Chicago, IL. My love of fantasy sports started for me in the early 2000's and I have steadily been active with the same group of friends year in and year out for every league in baseball, basketball and football. I am hoping to help all RotoBaller members with any questions they may have. I consider myself an expert with minor league prospects, as it is a love of mine. I hope to give the best advice I can to the RotoBaller world!

Willson Contreras Connects For First Home Run

Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras connected for his first home run of the season Tuesday versus the Cleveland Indians. Tyler Chatwood Picks Up Win Tuesday

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Tyler Chatwood picked up his second quality start of the year Tuesday evening versus the Cleveland Indians. Jason Heyward Starting To Heat Up

Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward is beginning to heat up. Heyward went 2-for-4 Tuesday with a run scored. Heyward now has four straight multi-hit games in a row and has hit in five straight games. Heyward has been a hard player to trust, but now is as good as a time as there will ever […]

Ian Happ Gets Three Hits On Tuesday

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ went 3-for-4 Tuesday evening. Happ hit a home run and picked up a pair of singles. It was a game that Happ really needed, as he’s been off to a slow start. Happ is off to a slow start but should still be rostered as a bench option due to […]

Tim Anderson Picks Up Two Hits Tuesday

Hitting in the No. 1 spot for just the second time this year, Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson went 2-for-4. Anderson is now hitting .267 on the year and offers owners a good speed and pop option at shortstop. It will be interesting to see if manager Rick Renteria keeps him at the top […]

Rays And Orioles Postponed Tuesday

Tuesday’s game between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays has been postponed due to bad weather. The game will be made up as a doubleheader on May 12. Make sure to adjust your lineups accordingly.

Kris Bryant Won’t Play Tuesday

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (eye) will have Tuesday evening off. Bryant was hit in the face Sunday and suffered a laceration above his eye. Bryant is “fine,” according to manager Joe Maddon, but the Cubs wanted to give Bryant an extra day off. Bryant took batting practice Tuesday and could play Wednesday. Infielder Tommy […]

Trayce Thompson Gets Start In Right Field Tuesday

With Chicago White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia (hamstring) placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday, outfielder Trayce Thompson will start in right field and bat seventh. Thompson is 2-for-8 since coming back to the White Sox off waivers, and that includes one home run. He is worth monitoring in AL-only leagues but is best suited […]

Nick Delmonico Out Of Lineup Tuesday

Chicago White Sox outfielder Nick Delmonico will rest Tuesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Leury Garcia will be in left field Tuesday evening and bat eighth. Delmonico is off to a slow start with a .241 batting average and .643 OPS. He can be avoided in all formats for now.

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Alex Kirilloff (elbow) hit his third home run of the year for Class A Cedar Rapids on Monday. Alex Verdugo Showing More Power In 2018

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Alex Verdugo hit his fourth home run of the year for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday. Keibert Ruiz Hits Third Home Run In Five Games

Los Angeles Dodgers prospect, catcher Keibert Ruiz, is starting to get his bat going for Double-A Tulsa. Ruiz finished 2-for-4 on Monday with a home run, three RBI and a run scored. It was his third home run over his past five games and he has now upped his average to .286 over his first […]

Nick Gordon Continues Hot Start To Season

Minnesota Twins No. 4 prospect, shortstop Nick Gordon, continues to stay hot for Double-A Chattanooga. Gordon went 4-for-7 on Monday with an RBI, run and stolen base. Gordon is now hitting .375 with seven extra-base hits and three stolen bases. Gordon is in his second stint in Double-A and it shouldn’t be too long before […]

Mike Soroka Goes The Distance On Monday

Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Mike Soroka continues to impress for Triple-A Gwinnett. On Monday night, Soroka pitched a complete game in seven innings and allowed three hits, three walks and four strikeouts. The strikeouts were down and the walks were up, but Soroka was able to get through without giving up a run. He remains […]

Leury Garcia offers more upside […]

Addison Russell Expects To Play Tuesday

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell said that he feels normal and believes he could play Tuesday after being hospitalized with a food allergy on Sunday. Chris Volstad To Start Tuesday For White Sox

The Chicago White Sox have announced that pitcher Chris Volstad will start Tuesday versus the Seattle Mariners. He can be avoided in all formats.

Yoan Moncada Falls A Single Short Of Hitting For The Cycle Monday

Chicago White Sox second baseman Yoan Moncada fell a single shy of the cycle Monday evening versus the Seattle Mariners. Moncada finished 3-for-5 and scored three runs.
