Austin Ekeler fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Austin Ekeler for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB29
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler has had a productive season despite being the No. 2 running back on the depth chart. Brian Robinson Jr. has been a top-12 running back over the first month. By comparison, Ekeler is the RB37, averaging 10.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game.
Unfortunately, the veteran running back missed the Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals with a concussion. However, he has cleared the concussion protocol and will play against the Cleveland Browns.

Ekeler is a low-end RB2 or high-end flex option in Week 5. Yet, he could have top-15 value if Robinson misses the game with a knee injury. The former Alabama star is considered a game-time decision to play this week. However, head coach Dan Quinn did say that Robinson was trending in the right direction on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Browns have surrendered 110 rushing yards or a touchdown to running backs in every game this year.
