Kyle Busch held off Tyler Reddick by a little less than two-thousandths of a second to qualify in the top spot for Sunday's first heat race. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver still has to finish well enough to make the 23-driver field for the main event. Being in front is good with the short 25-lap heats, considering an average lap is less than 14 seconds around the quarter-mile Coliseum track.
