Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaq Barrett (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the Week 16 game against the Carolina Panthers. Barrett was initially injured in the second quarter, but he returned to the game before finally being shut down for good. The 29-year-old entered the Week 16 contest with 47 tackles (35 solo), seven tackles for loss, 21 QB hits, one interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and nine sacks in 14 games. Before leaving the game for good on Sunday, Barrett added two passes defensed, two tackles for loss and a sack. With Lavonte David out for the rest of the regular season, Tampa's linebacking corps is dealing with some key injuries with the playoffs approaching.
