FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (10/29/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Happy Friday, RotoBallers! I hope this week of NBA DFS has treated you well. I had a pretty tough loss on Wednesday night, as Kelly Oubre only logged 6.4 FD points in a win against Orlando. I got it back last night though, thanks to making a pivot off of Aaron Holiday to his teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who turned in a 34.6 FD point performance helping me to a cash win on the slate. Enough about the last few nights though, let's take a look at tonight and see if we can boost our bankrolls heading into the weekend.

Tonight we have a nice medium-sized slate, with seven games on tap. With FanDuel adding multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates a bit differently to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 10/29/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings NBA DFS lineup picks. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Lowry, PG - vs MIA ($5,900)

Assuming Lowry is good to go and in the lineup, I have him as a top ten projected guard and the best value play on the entire slate. His price is too low for a player of his caliber, and he draws a solid matchup against Charlotte who is among the worst at defending point guards thus far into the season. We'll have to make sure to keep an eye on his status through the day though, as he is stuck with that GTD tag as I'm writing this. But as long as he's in without restricted minutes, I'll likely be playing him.

T.J. McConnell, PG/SG - at BKN ($5,700)

Unfortunately for the Pacers, Malcolm Brogdon left Wednesday night's game against the Raptors. He's already been ruled out against Brooklyn tonight, which opens up the value door for T.J. McConnell. While McConnell has been slow to start the season, averaging just 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 22 minutes per game, we remember what he was capable of doing last season while running with the starters and getting big minutes. In a great matchup against a Brooklyn team that likes to score, McConnell should have no problem hitting value.

Devonte' Graham, PG/SG - vs SAC ($6,100)

I can't believe it's taken me this long to write up Graham. He's one of, if not my favorite players in the league from both fantasy and real-life aspects. Graham just gets buckets, and this year has been no different. He's averaging 18.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 32.8 minutes per game this season, should keep that up tonight in what should be a high-paced matchup against Sacramento. As far as value goes, he's right below Lowry for me as it stands right now, and I'll likely be going cheaper at the guard positions tonight.

Also consider: Damian Lillard ($8,200), Fred VanVleet ($8,100)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Bam Adebayo, PF/C - vs CHA ($8,000)

It feels like Bam is underpriced, and that's likely due to the slow-ish start to the year he's had. Through four games, he's averaging 19.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 30.5 minutes. His assists have taken a hit since Kyle Lowry has joined the team, but he's picking it up in the points and rebounds department. He gets a solid matchup against the Hornets tonight, who allowed Wendell Carter Jr. to have a monster night, with 20 points and 10 rebounds. I can see Bam putting up similar numbers tonight, and he shouldn't have any problems hitting 5x value.

Scottie Barnes, SF/PF - vs ORL ($6,000)

It's interesting that Barnes is still around the $6K range. I know that he's had two "blip" games, the first coming on opening night against the Wizards, and again on Monday against the Bulls. In the other three games, though, Barnes turned out 42.6, 29.6, and 40.9 points respectively. He gets a fantastic matchup against the Magic tonight, who allow the most FanDuel points to the forward positions so far into the season. While a minutes restriction due to a garbage time scenario is possible, as a rookie, I feel like he'll play at least 30 minutes, even if the game does get ugly.

Chris Duarte, SF - at BKN ($5,600)

With Brogdon out tonight, Duarte should see more usage for the Pacers. The minute floor has been there for Duarte, who has played at least 32 minutes in each of the Pacers' first five games this season. His upside may take a hit tonight if Caris LeVert plays tonight, with Levert being a game-time decision. I don't expect Duarte's minutes to take too much of a hit even if Levert plays, but his usage might. Regardless, I'll take advantage of Duarte now while T.J. Warren remains sidelined.

Also consider: Brandon Ingram ($8,200), Kevin Durant ($10,900)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Domantas Sabonis, C/PF - at BKN ($9,300)

It's not unreasonable to think that Sabonis will be the highest-scoring player on tonight's slate. He'll likely see the biggest increase in usage due to Brogdon being out. He had a down game on Wednesday, with just nine points and eight rebounds in 33 minutes, but he'll be looking to get it back tonight along with a win against the Nets. He has a very real 60+ point upside, but I can comfortably see him finishing around the 45-50 point range.

Precious Achiuwa, C/PF - vs ORL ($5,100)

Another Raptor that we'll take advantage of the great matchup of "Magic vs Forwards", Achiuwa has been a nice surprise to start this season. Achiuwa is averaging a double-double this season, with 10.4 points and 10.2 rebounds across 26.6 minutes on the year. He seems to have taken the lead role at the flex four-five position for Toronto, and should be able to have himself a fourth straight double-double against the Magic in what should be an easy win. My lookahead projections have Achiuwa as the top value at the PF/C position for tonight's slate.

Also consider: Jonas Valanciunas ($8,200), Mo Bamba ($6,500)
