San Jose Sharks forward Alexander Barabanov inked a new one-year, $1 million contract to remain in Northern California for the 2021-2022 campaign. Since getting moved at the trade deadline from Toronto in exchange for forward Antti Suomela, the 26-year-old has fit in quite well in the Sharks' top-six forward group. In fact, after registering just one assist in 13 games with the Leafs, Barabanov proceeded to produce seven points (three goals, four assists), a plus-two rating, 11 shots and nine blocks in eight games. He should get an extended look in the same role with San Jose next season and could be a deep sleeper in fantasy drafts this fall.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
