Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson scored his 10th goal of the year in Friday's 2-1 overtime victory against New Jersey. He bagged Washington's opener and Dmitry Orlov finished off the game 4:39 into the extra frame. Carlson has now scored at least 10 times in four straight seasons. He has 32 points this term in 35 games with 93 shots, 51 blocks and 44 hits. It's been another productive year by Carlson, although his minus-eight rating could use some work. His next chance to improve it comes on Sunday in another meeting with the Devils. Carlson is plus-six in the matchup and has averaged a point per game in seven outings this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
