New York Rangers left wing Alexis Lafreniere scored his first career NHL goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime victory against the Sabres. Lafreniere failed to record a point through the first six games of the season, but the 19-year-old found a perfect time to record his first-career point in the NHL as he buried the OT winner past Sabres goaltender Linus Ullmark. Rangers left wing Artemi Panarin and center Ryan Strome each added one goal in the contest, while goaltender Igor Shesterkin stopped 23-of-25 shots for his first win of the season. The timely goal could be the boost needed for more consistency from the 2020 first overall draft selection moving forward, as Lafreniere is worth rostering across standard fantasy formats despite the slow start to open the season.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
