Monday Night Football DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Giants vs. Buccaneers

Mike Evans - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Thunder Dan's top NFL DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and Week 8's Monday Night Football Giants vs. Buccaneers matchup. His daily fantasy football advice and value plays.

Monday Night Football has arrived and we get an NFC clash as the New York Football Giants head south to take on Tom Brady and the new-look Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game has an under/over of 44.5 with the Buccaneers favored by 13 points (the line has gone up steadily all week after opening at 10.5).

Vegas thinks this one will be lopsided, and it's hard to argue with that as Tampa has rounded into form nicely with impressive recent wins over the Packers and Raiders. Meanwhile, the Giants gave away a win against their rival Eagles last week and continue to struggle this season.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Monday Night Football slate on November 2nd (Week 8). These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

DFS Quarterbacks

Tom Brady (16,500 FD, 12,000 DK, 18,000 DK captain)
Daniel Jones (15,000 FD, 9,200 DK)

This is a pretty easy decision as you'll definitely want some shares of the GOAT Tom Brady and likely want to fade the young Giants' signal-caller Jones. Brady is coming off his best game as a Buccaneer as he passed for four TDs against the Raiders and ran in another on a sneak. He has a favorable matchup against a Giants Defense that ranks 26th in pass DVOA and has been respectable against the run (9th DVOA).

Brady is a pricey option on DK at captain, so I'll probably be looking at some of his skill players instead but he should have no problem moving the chains against this Giants' defense and I'll be stacking him with some of his receivers in this one.

Jones is coming off his best game of the season against the Eagles, but this is a terrible matchup for him and the Giants as the Bucs rank #1 overall in DVOA and pass DVOA. Yes, he should get some volume as the Giants are likely to trail throughout this one but he's not going to be worth his price without throwing for 2-3 TDs or running one in (how about those wheels he showed last week!?)

DFS Running Backs

Leonard Fournette (10,000 FD, 6,200 DK)
Ronald Jones II (13,000 FD, 8,800 DK)
Wayne Gallman (11,500 FD, 5,200 DK)

The Bucs have an emerging timeshare in the backfield as Leonard Fournette is finally healthy. Last week he out-snapped Ronald Jones and was more productive with 97 total yards but Jones still got in the end zone. Fournette is getting the passing game work, which makes him more valuable to me in this Bucs offense and makes him a potentially elite value on DraftKings with full PPR scoring.

Fournette is also 3k cheaper than Jones on FanDuel, which is a really significant savings, especially if we are trying to fit Tom Brady in with some of his receivers. Jones is in play here but just feels massively overpriced for the number of snaps and touches he projects to get.

Gallman should be the main back for the Giants in this one with Dion Lewis serving as the change-of-pace back. Tampa's run defense is stout, but Gallman has some appeal with his receiving ability out of the backfield. If you play him, do it on DK where he's priced much more affordably relative to the rest of the field.

DFS Wide Receivers

Mike Evans (14,000 FD, 10,800 DK)
Scotty Miller (11,000 FD, 8,600 DK)
Darius Slayton (12,000 FD, 7,000 DK)
Sterling Shepard (9,000 FD, 6,600 DK)

The big news here is that Chris Godwin will miss this game for the Bucs with a finger injury. That's going to open things up for the rest of these Tampa receivers as Godwin was targeted 9 times last week against the Raiders and has been the WR1 for the four games in which he's suited up this season.

Mike Evans has been the odd man out the last few weeks but been a touchdown catching machine with six on the season and has had a few big games already when Godwin was out. The cornerback matchups actually favor Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson (in the slot) but Evans has the size and ability to win against most corners in this league.

Miller is one of my favorite plays on the slate. He had a huge game last week and has really emerged as one of Brady's favorite targets in this offense. Yes, he will take a back seat to Godwin and likely Antonio Brown once they return, but Miller is going to have his chance to shine in this one.

The Giants receivers are less desirable because as I mentioned earlier, this Tampa defense is just really darn good. Slayton feels overpriced now that Sterling Shepard has returned. I much prefer Shepard, who Jones targeted eight times in his first game back last week after missing a month. Golden Tate is a cheap deep GPP flyer, too, but simply isn't getting much volume.

DFS Tight Ends

Rob Gronkowski (9,500 FD, 8,000 DK)
Evan Engram (8,500 FD, 5,800 DK)

Gronk is back! He's found paydirt in back to back games now and caught five of his eight targets in both those games. After a slow start in Tampa, he's emerged as a relevant fantasy asset and his relationship with Brady from their time in New England has clearly gone a long way to help him become a trusted red-zone target for Brady. There's not a ton of volume here, but plenty of TD upside, and I like Gronk a good bit as a secondary stacking option with Brady.

Engram does very little to move the needle for me. He has several games this season with large target shares, but his season-high is still on 65 yards receiving and his lone touchdown this season came on an end-around running play as he's still without a receiving TD.

DFS Defense/Special Teams

Graham Gano (8,000 FD, 3,600 DK)
Ryan Succop (8,500 FD, 4,000 DK)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense (7,400 DK)

I don't play kickers that often on FanDuel, but Gano makes for some nice salary relief if you are jamming in Brady, Evans, and Miller. He's one of the better kickers in the league and has made 15/16 this season. The Giants are likely to cross mid-field a few times and not all that likely to get in the end zone so Gano has a path to 3-4 field goals in this one.

Succop is less of a priority for me as I expect the Bucs to convert more of their red-zone trips than the Giants.

The Tampa defense is in a great spot here as Jones has turned the ball over a bunch this season, but the price on DK is rather outrageous. Take some shots with them in GPPs, but they'll need a defensive touchdown to hurt you if you fade. The sharp move is probably to fade them in favor of other position players.

Good luck, RotoBallers, and remember to mix it up and don't be afraid to be different in these large field GPPs on these single/game slates!
