Both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Los Angeles Kings failed to find the back of the net until the shootout on Thursday night. William Nylander scored for Toronto in the shootout after failing to score on nine shots during the game. However, the Kings took the two points with goals from Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe, who had previously had six unsuccessful shots. Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen was a perfect 30-for-30 in shots until the shootout. It was his second strong game in as many starts. Kings goalie Jonathan Quick stopped 36 shots before letting the one goal in during the shootout. He’s now allowed one goal or fewer in three straight games. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
