Ryan Borucki To Play Catch Monday
Ryan Borucki (elbow) is set to resume throwing on Monday after getting shut down for precautionary measures earlier this week. The southpaw was limited to just under 25.0 IP combined last season after dealing with his injured elbow, which eventually led to surgery in August to remove bone spurs. The Jays will likely take it slow with Borucki through the spring, but he is a favorite to land a job in the Opening Day rotation if his health cooperates. The soon-to-be 26-year-old doesn’t carry much mixed-league value but could be a late-round AL-only option if he does land a rotation spot.
