Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski recorded his first-career NHL hat trick in Tuesday's 4-1 victory against the Panthers. The 22-year-old scored his first of the night by hammering a one=timer past netminder Sergei Bobrovsky five minutes into the opening period, while his second and third goals of the contest came from the same side of the ice. Werenski's big night has propelled him into fifth place on the season for goals by a defenseman — with only Roman Josi, Dougie Hamilton, John Carlson and Shea Weber sitting ahead of him in total goals. Werenski should be owned in standard formats as he is up to 11 goals, 12 assists and 23 points through 33 games, while serving as a productive option on the back end.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
