White Sox Talking With Edwin Encarnacion

The Chicago White Sox had talks with first baseman/designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion at the winter meetings and since. Encarnacion will turn 37 next month, but he still managed to hit .244/.344/.531 with 34 home runs and 86 RBI in 418 at-bats with the Mariners and Yankees. Staying in New York would be ideal for his fantasy value, but that's unlikely to happen. EE continues to display fantasy worthy power with 30 or more home runs in every season since 2012, but his age could become an issue if his body starts to break down. Chicago and their suddenly scary roster wouldn't be a terrible landing spot for the veteran, where he would serve as the everyday DH.
