Tyler Skaggs Unable To Make It Through Five Innings
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs made his season debut in Sunday's start at Oakland. He allowed just two earned runs, five hits and a walk with two strikeouts across 4 2/3 innings, throwing 50 of his 86 pitches for strikes. Skaggs was slowed by a forearm issue late in spring training, so it's surprising that he even went this deep into the game. His only real mistake was a titanic blast by Khris Davis. Other than that he was solid, and the southpaw will be a decent fantasy option in AL-only leagues and some deeper mixed play. Next up for Skaggs and the Halos will be a home date with the Texas Rangers on Saturday.
