Ottawa Senators defenseman Maxime Lajoie scored a goal and added an assist, along with getting two penalty minutes, three shots on goal, one hit, and four blocks in the 4-3 overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Lajoie was a surprise to even make the team this season after spending all of last year in the AHL, however, the decision to put him in this game was a good one. Lajoie looked absolutely solid and could get a promotion if he keeps his game up. While he's still likely a 6/7th defenseman, he registered 1:58 of power-play time which ranked second amongst Senators defenseman, only behind Thomas Chabot (2:06). Lajoie is worth an add in very deep formats and needs to be kept on all watch lists for now as the lack of depth on the Senators blueline could really result in him getting big minutes if he continues his good play.--CadenRead More News
