Tonight is going to be a big night for DFS so let's get right into it. Every game is lined up to be a high-scoring, defense-less bonanza, so there is upside with nearly every player. When the Lakers and Trail Blazers are two of the best defenses playing, you know there will be more than enough scoring going around. There isn't a specific game that you should stack, but the Timberwolves-Trail Blazers and 76ers-Cavaliers should be the highest scoring contest.

With so few games on the slate you'll need to be precise when rostering value. There are not many options available to spend up on, but of the three 10K-plus options, LeBron James and Joel Embiid are my go to's. Nothing wrong with playing Karl-Anthony Towns, but if you are going to spend up, go with Embiid. If you are thinking about fading Towns, check out Hassan Whiteside. Significantly cheaper with an ideal matchup, not to mention Whiteside has been producing in limited minutes.

FanDuel DFS Guards

 T.J. McConnell - PG, @ CLE ($3,900)

T.J. McConnell has been a star for the 76ers second unit and his stat lines have been very easy on the eyes. He is not the strongest shooter and will continue to struggle scoring, but he contributes across the board statistics so the lack of scoring may result in a boost in his other stats. The Cavaliers backcourt has changed for the better, but they still lack defense. While McConnell might not be posting triple-double-ish numbers, he should exceed his value with ease and has serious upside against Cleveland. I wouldn't expect the 76ers to win, but I think when it's all said and done, McConnell will have received a small bump in minutes.

Dwyane Wade - SG, vs. LAL ($4,600)

After his explosion last game, it's hard to justify another similar performance from Dwyane Wade. That being said, his recent usage rate combined with the Lakers backcourt struggles is to good of a situation to pass up. Most players tend to fall of after a big game, but superstars and especially veterans tend to string together big games. The Heat are still fighting for a playoff spot, and while they should easily be in playoff contention, they cannot afford to lose games to below .500 teams. Wade will continue to get the ball and there's a good chance they will look to feed him early in hopes of keeping hit hot streak going.

 

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Joe Harris - SF, @ SAC ($3,700)

The Nets have been one of those teams where you have to guess who will have the hot-hand each night. Harris is one of the better shooters on the team and he'll get his looks early. D'Angelo Russell is going to take opportunities away from Harris his minutes are going to start to dwindle. While going forward Harris is going to be a very risky option, there's a good chance he can earn some minutes back with a solid outing against a younger team that struggles defensively.

Robert Covington - PF, @ CLE ($5,200)

Unfortunately, Robert Covington's inconsistencies have been his biggest drawback. Now that the 76ers have somewhat loaded up on shooters, Covington is taking less shots and hitting even fewer. That being said, the drop-off in shots is minimal although his scoring efficiency has dropped. Instead of taking a ton of shots throughout the game, Covington is being given less open chances and is assuming a more spacious, pass-first role. Philadelphia might be a more cohesive team but Covington's fantasy status is in need for a serious revamping. In his last two games versus the Cavs, the results have been as close to opposite as you can get. He's taken close to 10 shots in both games and there's no reason he shouldn't produce tonight.

Zach Randolph - PF, vs. BKN ($6,100)

Zach Randolph's price is a tad high, but given what he is capable of it's understandable. The chance he has a monstrous game is unlikely but his rebounding ability still makes it possible. He has been able to produce on a uncertain Kings roster all season and he has been setting the example for the younger players. The Nets frontcourt is seriously lacking rebounders and Randolph is going to have his way in the paint all night. As long as he get the minutes, Randolph is lined up for a big game and is on double-double watch.

Also Consider: Brandon Ingram - SF, @ MIA ($7,400); James Johnson - PF, vs. LAL ($4,400)

 

FanDuel DFS Centers

Jarrett Allen- C, @ SAC ($5,500)

On the opposite side of things, Randolph's biggest competition will be Jarrett Allen and Quincy Acy. Both players are two of Brooklyn's best rebounders and they have been making the most of their minutes since the All-Star break. Allen has been less consistent as of late, but the Kings frontcourt lacks the athleticism needed to keep Allen from cleaning up rebounds and second chance points. While Allen's price is low, you need to find a way to capitalize on his value. When Allen develops and can learn to become a better shot blocker, his upside will increase drastically.
