Boston Red Sox catcher/outfielder Blake Swihart is working with the catchers Monday, which is the first day of full-squad workouts, according to Jen McCaffrey of Masslive.com. Swihart was groomed as a catcher, but concerns with his defensive ability led him to change positions to left field. However, an injury forced an end to that experiment in 2016. He was back at catcher in 2017, mostly in Triple-A, before enduring a slew of other injuries. It is reassuring that the team is not giving up on the development of his defensive skills. Maintaining catcher eligibility in future years while picking up other positions as well will help Swihart become more fantasy relevant.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
