Jake Finnen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 5/1/17, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster.
Now that we are in the thick of the playoffs, we are going to be getting two game slates. This means that you need to be looking at certain backups that have ideal match-ups. By saving up on backups, you will be able to afford James Harden and LeBron James on a night you cannot afford to pass them up.
In this article, I will be providing you with daily NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/1/17. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Guards
Deron Williams - PG, vs TOR ($2,500)
Deron Williams is still a productive point guard, even as a backup to Kyrie Irving. He is a crafty veteran that can rely on his jumpshot as means for production. By going up against a smaller Toronto backcourt, Williams will have his work cut out for him to hit his shots. He is bound to show up in the playoffs at some point, now that we are in the second round, expect the secondary players to slowly come out and impress.
Also Consider: Kyrie Irving - PG, vs TOR ($9,000)
Eric Gordon - SG, @ SA ($5,000)
You can go with either Lou Williams or Eric Gordon and my advice is to go with the latter. Both players are proven scorers, but Eric Gordon does not get shaken up playing in an opponents' arena. Although Williams is similar, Eric Gordon thrives in these types of situations. He always comes out firing when the Rockets need it, and against the Spurs, Houston is going to have to stick to their gameplan as best as they can. If the Rockets start to cater to the Spurs style of play, the Rockets are going to be in for a long series. Expect Gordon to be the consistent source of offense all series.

FanDuel DFS Forwards
P.J. Tucker - SF, @ CLE ($3,100)
This is a very risky play, but P.J. Tucker can manage to do well in certain situations. Game 1 will be full of surprises with both teams trying to get a feel on how the other team plays. That will include getting use to finding P.J. Tucker wide open in the corner. If he can hit his shots he will be a great asset, but as you already know, that is very risky. Regardless, I think this is a game where you can take a chance on Tucker.
Also Consider: Trevor Ariza - SF, @ SA ($5,300)
LaMarcus Aldridge - PF, vs SA ($7,200)
The Houston Rockets' frontcourt is their weakest spot and LaMarcus Aldridge is going to exploit that. The Rockets have no one to stop him if he gets rolling, other than simply putting Nene Hilario in his way. Clint Capela will fall subject to the plethora of post-moves Aldridge obtains. Aldridge is in for a big series and if he fails to produce, expect it to be his own fault for missing shots.
Also Consider: Derrick Williams - PF, vs TOR ($2,100)
FanDuel DFS Centers
Pau Gasol - C, vs HOU ($4,800)
I know this might be a little Spurs heavy, but as we saw last series, Gregg Popovich will play his starters heavy minutes if he needs to. Pau Gasol is going to own the Rockets' on the boards and in the paint. If Pau Gasol can get to his spots, much like Aldridge, there will be nothing Houston can do about it. The Spurs offense is like surgery, and tonight they will be performing surgery against a weak frontcourt. Expect great result.
