FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (10/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back to more Divisional Series fun on FanDuel. The Blue Jays have punched their ticket to the ALCS but we still have a triple-header on deck. Just a heads up -- if you joined a contest yesterday that included Texas-Toronto, it was cancelled. New contests with the six teams left are now available. On smaller slates such as this, the difference between cash and tourney lineups is minimal. The key is to determine which teams have the best chance for victory and stacking the lineups appropriately.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 10/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: If you like FanDuel, be sure to also check out FantasyAces. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS & MLB Premium), normally a $59.99 value. Expert DFS research, sample lineups, matchup ratings and lots more!

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Boston Red Sox vs. Josh Tomlin

It's do or die time in Boston tonight. The Red Sox find themselves backed into a corner versus a hot Josh Tomlin. Tomlin finished September with a 1.69 ERA and stepped up for a depleted Indians rotation. But Tomlin also had a 1.9 HR/9, fourth worst in baseball. Look for the Red Sox to take advantage of his mistakes and try to force Terry Francona to his bullpen early. This series goes to a Game 4.

Also Consider: Cleveland Indians versus Clay Buchholz

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Madison Bumgarner (SP, SF) - $10,200

You want to go against Bumgarner in a 50/50 contest? Be my guest. He hasn't allowed a run in 22 straight postseason innings and it is an elimination game in San Francisco. There is no safer play on the board.

Gio Gonzalez (SP, WAS) - $8,000

If you are looking for a low ownership tourney play, look no further. Gonzalez was awful to end the year, allowing 12 runs in his last 13 innings. But the Dodgers have struggled mightily versus left-handed pitching; their .622 OPS versus lefties is the worst in baseball this year. Nationals upset the Dodgers today and take a 2-1 lead.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Sandy Leon (C, BOS) - $2,600

Leon has been a hidden gem for the Red Sox all year, hitting .311 in part-time work. He homered in Game 1 of this series and is an excellent punt play for a weak position.

David Ortiz (1B, BOS) - $4,300

Big Papi has been quiet to start his final postseason run, but don't doubt him here. He has a career .947 OPS in the postseason and he has three home runs in 14 at-bats versus Josh Tomlin.

Howie Kendrick (2B, LAD) - $2,800

Kendrick had a disappointing regular season but has found himself in the NLDS lineup. He's a .307 hitter versus lefties in his last 388 at-bats (take that, sample size). If he doesn't start, pivot to Jason Kipnis.

Francisco Lindor (SS, CLE) - $3,400

To be frank, shortstop looks like a barren wasteland tonight. Aside from Corey Seager, none of the options look appealing so we will save coin with Lindor. Lindor struggled to finish 2016 but he homered in Game 1 of the series and has a .306/.371/.445 line versus RHP.

Jose Ramirez (3B, CLE) - $3,400

Think Ramirez was ready to prove his regular season doubters wrong? He's hitting .571 through two games and gets a cupcake matchup with Buchholz. Given his HR/SB combo threat, Ramirez should be approaching the $4K mark.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Trea Turner (OF, WAS) - $3,800

Turner transitioned his All-Star performance right into the playoffs, wreaking havoc in Washington's Game 2 win. He's averaging 20.8 FanDuel points in his past five games. Kenta Maeda has shown signs of slowing down to close the season, making this a ripe opportunity.

Brock Holt (OF, BOS) $2,900

Holt continues to find himself in the No. 2 hole, a spot that gives him oodles of fantasy potential. He should continue to play versus right-handers and he has 2 hits in six at-bats versus Buchholz (sample size truther rejoice!).

Lonnie Chisenhall (OF, CLE) $2,900

Chisenhall likely earned himself another start after homering off David Price in Game 2 and gets a much easier matchup here. Chisenhall hit .295 versus right-handers in 2016 and gets a favorable matchup with Buchholz today.
