DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 2/7/16

Sunday's slate consists of only four games, all of which are matinee matchups, so get your picks in early. The Celtics draw the Kings, while the Clippers visit the Heat, opening up plenty of intriguing Daily Fantasy plays. On a shorter card, it's almost necessary to break the bank on a couple players.

Tonight's lineup consists of big money plays, value picks, and plenty of affordable guys looking to take advantage of their matchup.

Check out my Daily NBA picks for DraftKings, 2/7/16.

DraftKings DFS Point Guards

Jeff Teague (at ORL, $6,000)

Teague gets an intriguing matchup against the Orlando Magic on Sunday. Over the last 15 games, the Magic have given up the fourth most fantasy points to point guards in the league. Teague is an affordable option that doesn't need to do too much to reach his value. It's unlikely that he'll hit 50+ fantasy points like he did last week when he scored 32 points facing the Dallas Mavericks, mainly because he's been sharing minutes with Dennis Schroder lately. Schroder deserves a look against the Magic as well, and is $900 cheaper, but on a night where there are very few games being played, it's wiser to spend up a little more for a safer pick.

Isaiah Thomas (vs SAC, $7,500)

So who isn't picking on the Sacramento Kings these days? The Kings are right behind the Magic in most fantasy points allowed to the one-spot over the last 15 days, and have been responsible for plenty of bloated fantasy stat lines of late. The Kings have also given up over 100 points in six straight games, and despite their crazy amount of talent and a knack for scoring a lot themselves, they are simply incapable of stopping the bleeding, allowing 108.1 points a night; the most in the entire NBA. Now we can finally get to Thomas. As if all that wasn't already enough to make him a convincing pick, Thomas is one of the best point guards on the card today, behind the banged up Rajon Rondo and the expensive Chris Paul.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

Evan Turner (vs SAC, $5,400)

This list isn't solely comprised of Celtics. Only one or two more, I promise. The Kings have also struggled with defending the two-guard as well, while Turner is a very affordable option that can reach or exceed his projection. In this case, it's wiser to spend down for Turner and avoid Avery Bradley, mainly because they are capable of producing similarly, they have been producing similarly, and their prices are only separated by $400. Turner has also been a tad bit more consistent of late, stringing together a bunch of 30+ fantasy point performances. Turner is a great tournament play, while he will not likely be highly owned.

Dwayne Wade (vs LAC, $7,200)

Wade is undoubtedly the top shooting guard lacing up on Sunday. Victor Oladipo is another option here for spending up at the two-guard but Wade is more proven despite how on fire Oladipo has been of late. Wade will also, I believe, be in a more competitive matchup with the Clippers, one that should be close and fast-paced throughout. Also now with Hassan Whiteside back, there is less pressure on the other big names on Miami to step up and fill in twice as much. Wade is always a threat to breakout for 40-50 fantasy points, and it'll be interesting to watch him battle Chris Paul.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Danilo Gallinari (at NYK, $6,900)

Gallinari gets another crack at the team who drafted him, and is one of the top plays at the small forward position on Sunday. Some would argue that Rudy Gay belongs in this spot, and they're right, but I'm just a bigger fan of Gallinari's matchup, revisiting the Garden where he played in the first couple seasons of his career. Plus, anytime a player faces his former team always makes for an intriguing fantasy play. There's something about wanting to beat, bury, embarrass a team that had the chance to hold onto you but didn't. Plus, the Knicks are responsible for giving up the second most fantasy points to the three-spot over the last 15 games.

Wesley Johnson (at MIA, $4,200)

Johnson has been the most productive small forward on the Clippers by far. Paul Pierce and Lance Stephenson are both extremely untrustworthy for Daily Fantasy. Johnson plays over 20 minutes a games and is more than capable of filling the stat sheet with just enough to reach or exceed projection for his price. The Heat give up a good amount of fantasy points to small forwards and Johnson will probably not be heavily owned, making him a good GPP and head-to-head play.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Amir Johnson (vs SAC, $4,600)

Johnson is the last Celtics player to make this list, honestly. I was tempted to add Jared Sullinger down in the center slot but, you know, let's not get too carried away. Johnson is another extremely affordable option that could take advantage of Sacramento's shaky defense. Johnson won't blow anyone away with his scoring ability but is a double-digit rebound threat. He has also posted at least one block in eight of ten games played. Over the last 15 games, the Kings have also given up the second most fantasy points to the four-spot.

DeMarcus Cousins (at BOS, $11,200)

Alright Boogie, time to step up. I mean, I'm recommending three players for Daily Fantasy that will be attempting to drive through the paint you call your own. Don't you want to do something about it as well? Like, say, post a nice 60-70 fantasy point stat line? Anyway, now that I have stopped pretending to talk to Cousins, let's get back to it. A night where the second most expensive player is Chris Paul at around $9,500, it's imperative to add Cousins to your list. I know there is always a risk of someone of his price falling flat and compromising the rest of your team, but there is a a greater risk in handing over his potential explosive performance to other lineups.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic (vs ATL, $7,300)

The Atlanta Hawks have given up a lot of fantasy points to centers over the past couple of weeks. I'm passing on Whiteside because his minutes are still in question, as the Heat are playing it safe with their talented young center. DeAndre Jordan is always an option at the center position, and isn't much more expensive than Vucevic, so you really can't go wrong with either. But despite the likely competitive nature of Miami versus Los Angeles, Vucevic will be relied on heavily to keep the Magic in the game against a solid Hawks club. He is a consistent blocks and rebounds threat, and also one of the best scorers on Orlando.
