FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice - NBA DFS Lineup Picks for 1/27/16

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Kevin Luchansky highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/27/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

An unusually light NBA Wednesday, with just eight games on the docket this evening. Of the 16 teams in action, five teams - the Clippers, Suns, 76ers, Thunder and the Mavericks - are on the back end of a back-to-back and all happen to be on the road. Be wary of tired legs, last-minute scratches and minutes restrictions.

As for the insights we can draw from Vegas, there are a lot of matchups tonight with over/unders above 205 - Phoenix at Cleveland (210), Denver at Boston (210), Los Angeles Clippers at Atlanta (209), Thunder at Timberwolves (210), Rockets at Spurs (206), and Dallas at Golden State (215) - meaning there are quite a few juicy games to target.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily league NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/27/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays. Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Reggie Jackson (vs PHI, $7,000)

Reggie is criminally under-priced this evening and he has a great matchup to boot. While this isn't one of the games I mentioned targeting because of the high expected point total, the over/under in this one is 203, which is a pretty high number for a Detroit game. Jackson and his teammates should benefit from the fast pace of the Sixers by way of extra offensive possessions, and we've all seen what he's capable of in uptempo games. The Sixers surrender more fantasy points to opposing point guards than any other team in play this evening.

Also Consider: Russell Westbrook (at MIN, $10,500)

Tournament Play: Isaiah Thomas (vs DEN, $8,300)

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Kent Bazemore (vs LAC, $5,200)

Never Baze-less when the opportunity is ripe to Bazemore. Kent hasn't put up any gaudy stat lines recently, but he has been pretty consistent in terms of production, exceeding value in three of his last four outings. His price has dropped $700 over the past 10 days, and with the help of that drop, I think he has a chance to easily exceed value this evening. The Clippers are not exactly known for their defense of the two-guard spot. They've allowed the fourth-most points this season to opposing shooting guards of the 16 teams in play tonight.

Also Consider: Avery Bradley (vs DEN, $5,500)

Tournament Play: Andrew Wiggins (vs OKC, $6,800)

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Kawhi Leonard (vs HOU, $7,500)

At this price tag, Kawhi is a real bargain and all things considered, I think he's far and away the best option at small forward tonight. The game has a much higher projected total than what we're accustomed to seeing in Spurs games, and Kawhi should benefit from the fast pace with not only more offensive opportunities, but steals, rebounds, and blocks against a sloppy Rockets offense. Speaking of the Rockets, they currently surrender the most points to opposing small forwards of any team in play tonight. I don't think there's a single player on their roster capable of slowing down Kawhi when he's in drive mode.

Also Consider: Danilo Gallinari (at BOS, $6,900)

Tournament Play: LeBron James (vs PHX, $9,900)

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge (vs HOU, $6,600)

After a few disappointing individual performances and a blowout loss to the Warriors, I'm expecting LMA and the Spurs to play with a chip on their shoulders tonight against their in-state rival Rockets. Of course, that's just a hunch, and I wouldn't give you a selection based on hunch alone. Insights we can gather from Vegas project this one to be high scoring, and LaMarcus has a cushy matchup himself on offense. He's also a bargain at this price while ranking top six among power forwards playing tonight in PER and Usage rate. I'm thinking we'll see a nice bounce-back performance from him.

Also Consider: Draymond Green (vs DAL, $9,300)

Tournament Play: Kevin Love (vs PHX, $7,000)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Andre Drummond (vs PHI, $8,200)

Like with the case of Reggie, I expect Drummond to benefit from a faster pace of play this evening. Making the matchup even more appealing is the fact that Jahlil Okafor is out tonight, and while he isn't a great defender to begin with, he's still poses a threat physically. Without him, I think the Sixers are going to have their hands full trying to slow him down on offense, and he should continue to clean up the glass tonight on both ends of the floor. Priced at just $8,200 thanks to a $700 drop over the past 10 days, rostering Drummond allows for a lot of lineup flexibility and I'm expecting him to have little trouble exceeding his price implied value.

Tournament Play: Karl-Anthony Towns (vs OKC, $8,000)
