Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

Cubs 2-6 hitters against Anibal Sanchez

The Cubs have the perfect early and middle of the order to attack Sanchez this evening. Lefties like Kyle Schwarber and Anthony Rizzo own right-handed pitching and they're followed by two powerful righties in Kris Bryant and Jorge Soler that have splits suggesting they're much more comfortable facing right-handers. Sanchez has really struggled this season, particularly with righties, a group that currently possesses a .285/.330/.541 slash line against him.

Blue Jays against Aaron Nola

It's extremely rare that anyone "overlooks" the Blue Jays when looking for teams to stack, but I'm hoping they're a little undervalued today because of the Aaron Nola hype. Frankly, I think the Jays offense is too powerful, too deep and too talented not to take advantage of the rookie who doesn't miss many at-bats and pitches to contact.

Honorable Mention: Nationals against David Hale

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Jacob deGrom (SP, NYM) - $11,600

If you're like me and not wanting to pay up for Kershaw, deGrom is a great option this evening. He's also currently a road favorite (-109) in a game with an over/under of just 7.5, is averaging more than nine strikeouts per nine innings and faces a team that is striking out in nearly 30 percent of their at-bats. Sure, Baltimore is a power hitting friendly park, but deGrom has been excellent at keeping the ball in the yard this season with a 0.58 HR/9).

Lance Lynn (SP, STL) - $9,000

Lynn has a similar opportunity to deGrom's ahead of him tonight with a number of factors in his favor. The Cardinals are Vegas favorites (-154) and the game also has a very low over/under (7) set. For the season, Lynn is averaging just a fraction over nine strikeouts per nine frames and Giants team he's facing strikes out in more than 28 percent of their at-bats.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Brian McCann (C, NYY) - $3,300

Green lights across the board here for the lefty sitting in the middle of a potent Yankees order. McCann, he with the four home runs and .600 slugging percentage over the past two weeks, should be able to pick up where he left off last night and tee off against Pelfrey this evening.

Anthony Rizzo (1B, CHC) - $4,200

A well rested Rizzo has a real favorable matchup tonight as he's very adept at hitting right-handed pitching hard (career .486 slugger) and he's swinging an incredibly hot bat over the past two weeks (3 HR, .718 slugging).

Eric Hosmer (1B, KC) - $4,000

If you're a few dollars short for Rizzo, Hosmer really isn't much of a downgrade at all. Though he may not be the usual deep threat you're looking for at first, he gets a major park factor boost tonight and he's been putting the ball in the outfield seats lately with three home runs and a .625 slugging percentage over the past two weeks.

Robinson Cano (2B, SEA) - $4,000

He may be far from his old self and while his season numbers still pretty uninspiring, he's been impressive of late (.524 slugging last two weeks) and he has great career splits against righties (.549 career slugging). He also gets a major park boost tonight in Arlington and faces a rookie in Chi Chi Gonzalez.

Ian Desmond (SS, WAS) - $4,000

Like Cano, overall, Desmond's season has been a bit of a disappointment - not to mention what a disapointment is has been for his unraveling Nationals team. Nonetheless, Desmond is finally hitting (4 HR, .628 slugging last two weeks) and he faces a weak pitcher tonight in a major park upgrade at Coors Field.

Brad Miller (SS, SEA) - $2,700

If paying 4K for a shortstop doesn't fit your fancy, ride with Brad Miller this evening. He's got great splits, is batting over .370 for the month of August, and should be able to pick on the rookie Gonzalez.

Kris Bryant (3B, CHC) - $3,400

I'm going with two North Side infielders tonight. As good as Rizzo's matchup may be, Bryant's is even juicier. After a bit of a slump, Bryant has begun looking the part of his All-Star self again, hitting .302 over the past two weeks. He's much more comfortable facing right-handed pitching, with higher marks in ISO and wOBA against righties and furthermore, Sanchez has been struggling with right-handed batters greatly this season.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Aaron Hicks (OF, MIN) - $3,100

Hicks went deep for us last night and he's got a great opportunity again in the Bronx with CC on the bump. He's taken CC deep twice in his career and he handles left handed pitching particularly well, slugging .477 lifetime.

Jorge Soler (OF, CHC) - $2,900

Soler is a really nice value at this price when you consider he's been heating up, hits sixth in the order behind some guys with real high OBP's and faces a struggling pitcher in Sanchez.

Khris Davis (OF, MIL) - $3,000

Davis is putting up monster numbers over the past few weeks and he's got great lineup value. He should see a few ducks on the pond tonight as he and the Brew Crew get to rookie Adam Conley. Conley has been fairly sharp in the minors but he's also given up a handful of home runs in just a few innings at the MLB level.

Alejandro De Aza (OF, BOS) - $2,700

Since my infielders are so pricy today, I wanted to give a few formidable outfield options around or below 3K. De Aza fits the bill and he's swinging it well lately. Opposing pitcher Trevor Bauer has allowed a .323 wOBA to lefties this season and hasn't pitched particularly well lately.
