MLB DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - DraftKings Advice for 6/22/15

Jake Finnen's analysis and advice for the top MLB DFS lineup picks on DraftKings for 6/22/15, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your daily fantasy baseball rosters.

With seven games on Monday, June 22nd, the options are only slightly limited. In making the first draft of my lineup, I managed to have a remaining balance of $5,000. This is due to the number of solid value options that are available. The players I recommend consist mainly of infielders, as only one outfielder stuck out, in my opinion, to overcome his projection. That being said, the foundation of my research is based off of matchups and the potential for lower priced players to overcome their projection. The reasoning behind my advice will be short and to the point.

Remember, you do not have to spend all the money you have in your balance to have a winning lineup. I will be tweeting my initial lineup and my final lineup before the games start tonight.

Editor's Note: If you play on DraftKings, you should check out our Partner FanDuel - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. Offenses to Target for DraftKings

Yankees vs. Kevin Correia (RHP)

The Yankees are at home against Kevin Correia, who is giving up a .609 SLG% and .395 wOBA to LHB, which the Yankees have no shortage of. Regardless, against RHB Correia is not nearly as bad, but not necessarily good either, sacrificing a .284 wOBA and .350 SLG%. Coming off a loss after a monster game, the Yankees should rebound and own Correia just the way they owned Alfredo Simon.

Dodgers vs. Tsuyoshi Wada (LHP)

The Dodgers have been struggling against LHP for most of the season, outside of Joc Pederson. That might throw up an immediate flag to stray away from the Dodgers, but when Tsuyoshi Wada is contributing a .297 wOBA /.384 SLG% to RHB, and .448 wOBA / .652 SLG% to LHB, it is a matchup that's almost impossible to pass up. This game can fall either way strictly due to the difficulty of Wrigley Field, but the Dodgers still have the upper hand against a pitcher that is giving up long hits frequently. The Dodgers have a team wRC+ of 107 which makes them the second most dangerous team to play on the road.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Target for DraftKings

Michael Pineda (SP, NYY) - $9,700

Not only are the Phillies not going to pitch well this game, but they will not hit well either. The only factor the Phillies have in their favor is being able to play in Yankees stadium, which is one of the more favorable ballparks towards hitters. On the road, the Phillies are only generating 71 wRC+ which puts them at second to last in the MLB. On top of that, they are last when facing RHP with a wOBA of .274, and only Maikel Franco and Ben Revere are batting above .300 to RHP, Pineda should have a fine night against a weak offense.

Tommy Milone (SP, MIN) - $6,000

As one of the top value options for today, Tommy Milone is facing a White Sox team that has difficulty against LHP. Only Geovany Soto has a wOBA above .360 against LHP, which means that this is a game Milone should dominate. He owns LHB, and given his wOBA of .242 and .288 opposing SLG% the White Sox could be in trouble. The game is in Minnesota which hurts Milone, but the White Sox inability to produce off of LHP should prove to be the case. The Twins and Milone should secure the victory.

DFS Infielders to Target for DraftKings

Didi Gregorius (SS, NYY) - $3,500

The Yankees are rolling and so is Gregorius coming off of back-to-back home run games. He was enjoying the Tigers pitching rotation, and his .295 wOBA and .375 SLG % should increase after today. Although he has had some trouble with RHP, this matchup is in favor of Gregorius, as he has been on a streak which makes him even more valuable for such a low price.

Giovanny Urshela (3B, CLE) - $2,700

This is an absolute steal. Although Urshela has only had 11 plate appearances against LHP, he has produced with all but a few of those chances. His incredible numbers when facing LHP are enough to secure a spot in any lineup. In those chances, his .432 wOBA, .636 SLG %, 185 wRC+ are simply incredible. With a matchup heavily in his favor, look for Urshela to get the start and contribute to an Indians win.

Geovany Soto (C, CWS) - $2,900

The second Geovany on this list, is one of the only players that has been consistently producing against LHP this season on the White Sox squad. He leads the team in wOBA,SLG % , and wRC+, .366 / .478 / 133. I do not see much offense outside of Soto today against the Twins, but his extremely low price and high upside make him valuable prospect.

Kennys Vargas (1B, MIN) - $3,200

Another cheap play with a great deal of potential in his matchup today is Kennys Vargas. He is the second most valuable hitter on the Twins when facing LHP. Also a solid switch hitter, Vargas is facing John Danks who has been giving up a .390 wOBA / .550 SLG % to opposing RHB, and a .283 wOBA / .338 SLG % to LHB this season. When the Twins are home they generate a .319 wOBA which should be fueled from a solid performance by Vargas.

DFS Outfielders to Target for DraftKings

First of all, I apologize for the lack of outfielders, but there were not many low value options that I saw the necessity to research. Feel free to spend up at this position tonight.

David Murphy (OF, CLE) - $3,100

David Murphy has only nine PA against LHP, but he has no trouble generating hits given the opportunity. His .488 wOBA / .667 SLG % / 224 wRC+ are out-of-this-world statistics but could be the prelude to greatness for Murphy. He is a beast against LHP, and Kyle Ryan lets up big numbers to opposing LHB (.380 wOBA / .522 SLG %) . This has "perfect matchup" written all over it with some of the highest upside for today.
