UCF's Alonza Barnett III Leaves Game Late Against Pitt
UCF quarterback Alonza Barnett III left the game with an undisclosed injury in the fourth quarter when the team was down 12-7 at Pitt. The fifth-year senior is in his first year with UCF after spending his first four years with James Madison. Barnett III had a modest start to his UCF career in Week 1, completing 61% of his 18 pass attempts for 158 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He added five carries for nine yards and one touchdown on the ground. Before he got injured against Pitt, he was having a similar game to last week, with 186 passing yards, one touchdown, and 13 rushing yards. Senior quarterback Keyone Jenkins replaced Barnett III on UCF's last offensive play of the game and was promptly sacked.
